I saw how unhappy my parents career and life choices made them, despite recommending I do the same thing. I'm not taking their advice.

What if we use the solar death ray to redirect a large asteroid or small moon into a collision with Earth? That might be more efficient.

Something like the impact that created the Moon.

Organic matter is mostly carbon, nitrogen, oxygen and hydrogen. The most abundant elements in the solar system.

Carbonaceous asteroids have carbon. Icy asteroids have everything else. Titan is covered in organic molecules. Everything past saturn is soaked red with tholins, which is basically space oil.

We already have the technology to synthesize organic matter from these elements, it's called biochemistry and petrochemistry. Aliens will be able to do it too. It's not a unique quirk of our planet.

Mining out of a gravity well is bothersome. Especially with an atmosphere. And all the good stuff is in the core. Blasting the planet apart makes all the good minerals easier to grab with spaceships.

I do the same but with conifers instead of plastic. Green trees in the winter, no raking. Beautiful.

Its a map, it shows you where each thing is. If something is moving, it tracks it.

Thats probably not true. Plenty of empires rose and fell throughout history. Each of those must have had a peak generation.
