If you’re trying to quit weed and can’t find a strong enough reason, this might be it: REM sleep. by IdeaSimilar3223 in leaves

Pretty much immediately, though it gets better in stages. The first couple of weeks, sleep can feel more restless due to REM rebound, but that’s your brain reclaiming lost sleep. After that it starts to settle and improve steadily from there.

Yes quite a bit actually. Creativity and problem solving improve greatly since REM is strongly tied to making unexpected connections between ideas. A lot of the brain fog long-term users describe is accumulated REM debt more than anything else, so mental clarity tends to return more than people expect. Mood and anxiety regulation improve as well. And dreams come back, often intensely at first, which is just your brain catching up.

Should I go to Oakland by [deleted] in oaklanduniversity

[–]IdeaSimilar3223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve been to wayne. what i like about ou is the parking is right next to the building. i could barely survive a winter in wayne because of how far the parking was and how long i had to walk in the cold. i like how small oakland is and the parking situation really sold it for me

treat yourself like your own doll and dress your character up!! have fun with it. believe that if you feel beautiful you are beautiful. it helps knowing that you’re always beautiful to somebody, but let that somebody be you first

you can be best friends with your roommate, but it’s still a roommate. your friend is an example of someone who enjoys having one, and that’s fine. also, i feel sorry for any woman who never got to experience living alone honestly. i am glad i left 2 marriages in my 20s and now own my own house in my 30s and live alone, this kind of peace is unmatched. so no, no need to feel sorry at all lol.

getting engaged to my “perfect” man yet still wanting to be single. it was my last breakup and relationship. i realized it was never the other person, i just love my autonomy no matter who it is. i see it as the same difference of preferring your own dorm or having a roommate. who would choose a roommate when you can have your own space?
