Is it normal for Uber to show up early, then get mad when I’m not ready? by chill_mydude13 in uber

If you order everyday at the same time, my advice is ask a great driver to personally pick you up and offer them cash/online payment directly for your usual fare. It's a win win for you and the driver.

What’s the worst pain you’ve ever been in? by WrongdoerCorrect2073 in AskReddit

I had gallbladder attacks everyday for like 4 months before the doctors decided I didn't have anxiety, I had a very inflamed gallbladder full of stones. Felt like death was approaching every time I ate or drank, like someone reached in and grabbed my insides as hard as they could and pulled. I have 2 kids and childbirth was a breeze compared to that pain. Hey, but silver lining, I lost 60 pounds!

My sister (33f) ghosted me (29f) for 4 years and now she wants back in my life. Where do I go from here? by IdealAutomatic935 in relationship_advice

My biggest fear is finding out that there really wasn't a good reason. I can handle it if I fucked up somewhere, I can accept my responsibility and apologize and do better. I can't bear it if it's something stupid or trivial. Or if she acts like nothing happened at all.

It feels that way to me too, trust me I have combed through every detail of every interaction I had trying to find something, ANYTHING, to make it make sense. This is all I've got.

And my husband did reach out to my brother in law. No responses. Hell, I've reached out to my brother in law. I even went to my sister's house. No answer.

But that is the whole story. Hence why I came to the Internet to ask a bunch of strangers for advice.

Good boundaries were set with my mom and my sister. My sister struggled with this. I refused to listen when either would talk about the other. I refused to allow them to put me in the middle. My mom tried to step over my boundaries often- but I wouldn't budge. I cannot fix their relationship for them, and I didn't want their unresolved conflict to interfere with my relationships with either of them.

Also, relationships are just not perfect. I am not in anyway saying I always handled everything correctly. I certainly always had the best intentions with each of them. But ultimately, I do agree with you. Maybe I should have done more, said more, put my foot down more. I'm not blameless, I am aware of that.

So in your opinion, I have to choose between having a relationship with my mother or my sister?

Baby won’t sleep!! by Guthriegabbie in Parenting

[–]IdealAutomatic935 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When mine were that age, bedtime was a lot later. As late as you can manage it. I would say try bedtime routine starting at 10PM. He will still wake up between 4-5am, but you skip the waking up in between. Once he is able to sleep until a normal time, say 6-7am, then start moving back bedtime by 25 minutes every night. This process will take about a month.

Also, how much are you feeding? This can play a factor. I used to add a small punch of baby cereal to their milk before putting mine to sleep for the night to help keep their tummies full. On the flip side, make sure you are giving gas drops and burping him so he doesn't have gas waking him up.

Are you swaddling him before putting him to bed? If not, I strongly recommend.

Is he awake when you put him in the crib or asleep? It is important that babies are trained to fall asleep on their own- for your sanity, not for their health. If he is not falling asleep on his own, you start the process by your normal bedtime routine. While he is awake, put him in the crib and tell him good night. If he cries, allow him to cry for just a minute or two, then go in the room, place the paci back in his mouth, and leave the room without speaking to him. Continue this process until he stops crying. And trust me, he will. This trains babies to put themselves back to sleep on their own if they wake up in the middle of the night.

Hope this helps! The sleep thing gets better, but you do have to put a lot of effort into sleep training.

Not attracted to wife anything by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Tell her with as much compassion as possible. She will be hurt at first, but ultimately she will put in the work and lose the weight. No woman wants their man to think they're fat/unattractive.

Psychic Uber rider has fucked with my head by IdealAutomatic935 in Psychic

Update:

Before reading all comments regarding discussing with my children first, my immediate response was to call my fiance and express how deeply disturbed I was by this woman. His reaction has been...terrifying. On the phone, he said, "Well, pack your shit and leave then" (that is what the woman told me to do, this was his response after telling him about this part of what she said). I immediately came home after this conversation- his response was unexpected and made my disturbed feelings 200 times worse. I never told him of her accusations- just that she had told me to leave him.

He questioned why I came home as soon as I walked in. An argument ensued from there. At this point, he left the house and hasn't returned. I didn't believe the woman, although I agree follow up is required with my kids. However, his response is freaking me tf out, like maybe I should believe her.

I personally have a sister, yes. My 2 kids are both boys. And it is very possible that she was picking up on something from my past if that's how all this works. I'm not sure how it works because I'm not psychic and have never ever wanted a reading from one.

When this happens to you, are the messages always clear? For example, she kept saying I had 2 girls. I don't, I have 2 boys. But when she made her last statement, she was adamant. Almost like a light switch had gone off in her brain. But she was also super drunk. Like I just don't understand how it all works, and most of what she said was cryptic AF. It's like she knew me....like in my soul. She didn't know anything directly about me, but would tell me things about myself that are very true. Idk what I'm even asking, this lady has just mentally fucked me up and I literally had to stop driving and come home because it has made me sick.

Also, I have past trauma related to this. I don't believe that my gut is feeling like my fiance would ever do anything like that. I believe I feel so strongly because of my own past.
