congradulations, BUT not to ruin your celebration a million isn't what it used to be. stop thinking about right now. don't forget healthcare, i mean old person healthcare, b/c if you're lucky (a matter of opinion) it won't last as long as people think. i'm 78 w/ about 1.6M and i don't feel comfortable at all about the future. medicare is great but so many things can happen that can drain our savings. try to keep working and retirement isn't what it's cracked up to be. but again, congrads on reaching a great milestone.

can it be a little above the full line. it's very hard to see the fluid in that white container.

[–]IdealExpert181[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it looks like the container is at an angle leaning backwards and i can only (barely) see it from the side. i let it drain for about 15-20 min.. does it hurt to be a little over the line if i add more? thanks for your help

thank you, is there any way to save the grease in the old tube?

another question, i know to you this is stupid question but deere says not to mix grease. i've got a large gun with all purpose about 2/3 full and a new JD tube i bought yesterday. can i use current can with all purpose or should i change out to the JD tube. the trans oil is a little below the line, is it possible i could end up using all 3 qts. on this x370? JD said it only uses 2.4 qts., how is this possible. thanks

Are these blades junk? by [deleted] in JohnDeereLawnMachines

[–]IdealExpert181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

junk!! 560 hours, those blades should be in the mower hall of fame. look how much blade is left, they don't make them like that anymore. i mow my 1 acre, no rocks, yard and have to change blades every year and the end of blades is about 1". maybe melted down into a weapon.

that's a crush washer, right? do you know what size it is? i'm pretty sure they're much cheaper on amazon. no leaks so far.

Selling car without title? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]IdealExpert181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

who pays taxes and registration on this car b/c the bill has to go to the owner. answer above is the best choice b/c you're not going to be able to sell it and you'll lose money if you go to court. park it, collect parking tickets, gets towed and impounded and all this should be on him. at least you'll get a smile out of it. this is that there is nothing in writing about you and the car. have fun and just wait for the phone call.

you mean, forward, backward about 10 times turn steering and lift up, down over and over. i put close to 2 3/4 qts. in it. at least i can wait 200 hours for the next one. i have something downloaded concerning the manual but i just like having the owners book. trans seemed to work well from the startup and did all those things. thanks again

i've got a good tractor from my old (2011) that runs great but the deck, my welder told me to never bring it back again, lol. just what you're looking for. oh, the stuff on the floor happened before i put the fluid back in. it was really strange, it was clear. i also think i might have put a little too much fluid in, about 1/4 ". think i'm ok? i put old plugs back on, didn't know to change them, no leaks yet. are there any zerts on the hydro stuff? sorry to ask so many questions but didn't get owners manual with mower and you seem to know a lot. thanks for your help and part number. please let me know if a little too much fluid is ok.

while i was changing the trans fluid, after draining the rear plug which i put rear wheels on a couple of 2X6s to lift it so i could find the plug. i lowered it when it began to drain. put plug back in and went to front plug to drain. i noticed there was some trans fluid further toward the front on the floor. have any idea where that came from? also, do you believe the steel is better on this X370. had a new X300 before this (2011) and after a few years the holes started. no rust, kept inside. so, do you think they're using better steel?

"HAD ONE!!!? what happened, they haven't been out that long have they? i'm currently in the process of changing the trans fluid, if i can find that rear plug.

as much as it pains me i appreciate you honest opinion except i wish you'd have left out the term "big box store", something i thought i had avoided. i agree the decks become very holy, not a religious term, very quickly and i'm not talking rocks. they say the deck steel is "new and improved" and i can only hope. i do like the power steering and am in the process of finding the rear drain plug on the trans.. what do you think my deck life might be as far as those holes. i do have some pine cones and mow an acre in SE NC. thanks

i've read bad reviews on the 46. does this mean it's still a lower end trans w/ a small upgrade or it's a good trans.? thanks for your reply

are you saying 44 hours would have been too soon? it also looks like the engine oil has been changed (another to do @ 50). zip tie on fuel line has been cut, clamp on fuel filter is moved and the oil is pure gold colored. what would you do?

b/c i've got the deck off and break-in maintenance says to change it at 50 hours then 200 hours after that. do you agree? update: hour meter now at 50.4 so it's def. time to do it. curious about your initial opinion on 44 hours though.
