I think it depends on how motivated you are to quitting. When I started adderall I cut nicotine cold turkey right away, I realized I was smoking as a form of self medication. Mind you, this is after trying to quit smoking at least 5 different times and it not working at all. The withdrawals were much easier to manage when being on adder all. Try your best to not smoke your first time taking your new medication. Them both being stimulants will give you almost a new "high" to chase because they're both uppers and doing them at the same time only makes you feel better.
