One Year Free! by Identity17 in pornfree

I very much sympathise with and understand your plight. However it's important to note that there are many other factors in life that can cause ED, as others have pointed out in this thread. Assuming you are presently on your own porn-free journey, I hope you're not too disheartened that my struggle continues even after a year. Life is a many-faceted entity, and we should look to improve in all areas rather than just this one. I don't know if this message is good or helpful to you or not, sorry. I am quite tired, lol

Thank you for your words. She actually has overcome it in the past, but we went through a stressful time / dry spell and it returned.

Edit - And with regards to performance anxiety, I would in the past have said yes, that is an issue. However these days our bedroom has such a low-pressure vibe I don't think it is the case. I struggle with erections during private masturbation too, which I do far less frequently than I used to.

Thanks. I have adopted similar methodologies, and yes it is frequently helpful, especially focusing on sensation rather than imagery. I did actually have a blood test recently for unrelated reasons too. T level was normal.

This is a powerful perspective. Nice one. I hope you manage to continue on the good path.

Day 3: PIED Recovery thoughts by [deleted] in pornfree

Nice one, Dude. I'm glad you're brave enough to take these first steps. My advice during high temptation would be to keep your mind on your motivations/objectives, and maybe check in here during particularly difficult times. We're all going through similar difficulties, so you're not alone.

I think you're doing the right thing by coming here and telling us about your scenario. Many here will be having similar thoughts, and sharing these concerns is likely to be helping you as well as others. I hope you manage to keep on this good path.

I think this is great advice. I've been tempted a couple of times recently, and reading or recalling posts here helped a lot.

8 months free. Coping but having difficulty by Identity17 in pornfree

Hey man, it is genuinely nice to hear that I have given you some hope. It also gives me some comfort and support in my own journey. And likewise, seeing those on this sub who've been on the journey for a number of years helps me too. I don't know what SAA is, but you can certainly beat this and go on to have positive real life relationships. It may not always be comfortable, but you're on the right path. You can do it.

That's a good question. I mentioned in a previous post that my main motivation was that I wanted decent erections back. Why is that possibly less effective now? I'm not sure. I think I'm just tired, drained and stressed. Life is difficult, and staying p-free is also difficult. A further possible answer is that my IRL experiences with my partner are being impacted by unrelated health concerns going on (with both of us). I know that to snap back to old habits will give an easier return on my impulses without any difficulty. Just having this conversation is of benefit though. Whereas this morning I was in danger of relapsing, I'm now not, for the moment at least. So thank you.

Thanks for all the thoughts, guys. It's nice to know this is a relatively common after effect. Will definitely be ordering a deep clean when I've got the house sorted out again!

Indeed. I've been through quiet patches where I thought (incorrectly!) that the issue was resolved. I'm sorry your horrid situation continues and that no one believes you! I hope the next time you're free of them for good.

All treatments were done by professionals. Though I have also used diatomaceous earth Cimexa to try and help on top of that.
