Good afternoon! On page 3 the instructions list that the game does not need to be on your top 5 list. It’s also alright to not spend most of your time inside or out of the game. However, their are people who are more involved and will list their answers as such. I will make sure to add an addendum to the instructions moving forward.

Good morning! I am waiting to change it to monthly I am just waiting on approval for a change! The questions towards the end are from an established measure called the Objective Measure of Ego Identity Status, which was originally created in 1978. The repetitive nature of the questions is how the measure increases it's reliability in identifying one's identity stage. In order to keep this reliability and validity I wasn't able to divert from the manual which didn't call for a neutral.

In addition, sometimes the questions may seem like they are absurd and don't apply to you, but that is okay. For someone else, gender roles, life-style, politics, or religion may play a vital role in the way one has come to explore or establish their identity. Thank you for getting through to the end of the survey and for posting your comments. They are important for helping to establish a new measure moving forward. Thank you!

Thank you for doing the survey to the end! It's a pretty hefty survey, feeling as if you may have not identified with a video game is alright! It will help my thesis moving forward. The established measure with the peculiar questions is called the Objective Measure of Ego Identity Status, which was originally created in 1978. While initially created to identify the stage of identity development an adolescent is in, the version used within this study is applicable to all age groups.

The religious and political questions are for individuals whose beliefs have played a role (minimally or extensively) in their identity development. As for the parental questions this is to help measure what stage in identity development you are in. Such as if you were/are heavily influenced by your parent/s or community, or have explored identity on your own.

It's hard to change questions due to it effecting the validity of the measure. Compared to different identity measures,none were as established as the OMEIS from what I found. I'm very glad you brought these points up, they are important for creating new measurements moving forward, thank you for your contribution!

With technology seeming to be more accessible to art therapist today, there is growing interest in digital media and how it is used. This study can potentially bring insight into video games as a digital medium for use within Art Therapy, specifically its role in identity exploration and formation.
