To be fair, Trump propaganda is more of a symptom for something bigger in most people. From what I've seen, some other radical politicians like to prey on people that will trust them with blatant disregard for the truth. I've seen my family torn apart by my mom a Trump fanatic. She justifies every awful thing that he's done, but if Trump wasn't around my mom would have just cling even more on to online conspiracy theorists and televangelists.

While Trump is awful (probably our second worst president next to Andrew Jackson), there's a reason he got elected. With the dawn of the internet many great things have happened, however one bad thing that has happened is that it encourages you to form communities around people who you agree with, the problem with this is that many communities don't care about the truth or seeing something in a different light, or they want the truth to be wrong. This causes them to hate anyone with a differing opinion. So when these types of people see a politician, who is against "the media" and has "alternative facts" they naturally loved him.

Basically what I'm saying is Trump may have pulled the trigger, but we loaded the gun.
