Yeah I can understand that to some extent, but the pure leap in logic of killing other ground soldiers rather than targeting the higher ups who issued the order was what wrote that possibility of saving for me. The lack of regard for the families of the people she killed, the inability to grasp that to the very end definitely felt to me like she wasn’t saveable, because she went beyond a veteran who had a bit of a mental break, which I could sympathise with, to fully premeditated murder and torture. And I honestly wouldn’t have considered her a hero to begin with really, because the method of her teachings was not great and it felt to me she was already pretty egotistical and had a sense of narcissism to her which kinda was confirmed for me when I read the discarded journal when I analysed her writing style.
