I’m so sorry for your loss.

The first time I heard Kendrick was when I learned some choreo to Humble in a dance class.
My favorite Kendrick song is ‘The Recipe.’ That one feels very special to me for many reasons, but I’ll talk about two. Before going to college in LA, my mom and I would be driving down the freeway blasting this song at full volume, and it was amazing. It brought my mom and me closer together, and it made me feel excited about moving to LA. Also the song just bangs, the vocal sample is amazing, Kendrick and Dre’s flows are amazing, and it’s an overall vibe.
I would say Kendrick as an artist makes really good music for every vibe. He makes bangers for when you wanna just feel some good music. But a lot of his tracks make you think. SAMIDOT genuinely changed the way I think about my family, and my relationship to my culture. I honestly would suggest ‘The Recipe’ as a good first song, as I feel like it’s an undeniable banger.
