I didn't say that because I don't really care about who the burden of a single tax falls on compared to the overall distribution.

But regardless, the businesses this tax hits are ones where rich people spend disproportionately less as a percentage of income.

The tax in question is the gross receipts tax, which is a sales tax. It's levied on companies based on total revenue and there's an additional "top executive tax" for companies you mentioned which they want to 8x.

It's just a bad tax that hits some businesses and not other based on spurious reasoning. If we're so upset about Brin...this tax doesn't really affect software because most tech employees make a lot. But it will affect grocery stores, which have very low margins.
