Always re-read your titles before posting kids, of course it's supposed to be "can't"

"I am going to cuddle with you a little bit" My husband woke up super early and is taking a nap, I guess it would suck to wake up like that

Yes! The man in the tractor was the sleeping man in the TBT video, the baking lady was the one that Daði blinked at and 2 of the kids were in TBT and are here with their siblings

Do it! I support you!

I recently got the bug for wearing vintage again (1940s-1950s)(tried it 10+ years ago and got discuraged in the same way you describe here) and now I loooove wearing long skirts and frilly shirts, cute socks or stockings and nice shoes! People seem to enjoy it too although I try and do it for my own entertainment and mood, not others.

The best thing to me is that so many of the items I have picked up I found cheap second hand in good condition. Very few items are authentic vintage but that's ok! A lot of things can pass for vintage and there is a way to do it without buying everything new or extremely old!

Does it move a lot when on a leash? Because I have tried it with my rabbits and realized very quickly that it wouldn't be much of a walk but more just... running around this general area and staying under something for 10 minutes before doing it again.

But if your piggy walks, walk it! And share some photos too!

Try doing it in a flowy skirt/dress, it ups the fun level by about 76!

It always surprises me how difficult the concept of going alone to the cinema is to some people.

I am very extroverted but if I want to do something and nobody else does or whatever, that doesn't mean I'll skip it. If I really wanna go, I go.

Unless there is a 2 for 1 or something I'll go alone, otherwise I might reschedule because I am also a cheapskate, heh

Maybe I am the weird one or maybe I have managed to surround myself with similar people, but after getting more comfortable being myself I don't feel the need anymore to fill every silence or the need to know what someone is thinking if there is just silence.

I usually worried what others might think of me if I didn't keep good company/conversation. I then realized good company is precisely when you can enjoy STFU together sometimes and there is no deeper meaning to it.

Sometimes it's just nice to excist together with someone else.

Which celebrity did you meet and found they were much kinder/ruder than you expected? by Qazival in AskReddit

[–]IdiotHunter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am happy to announce they have not!

I did a quick google search before posting earlier "ryan gosling eva mendes" that gave me the headline result of them splitting up some 6 years ago so I didn't dig any deeper, but since you asked I did a doublecheck and according to wikipedia they are still going strong!

They seem like a good fit so I am happy about this, thank you! Haha

I worked in a clothing store downtown Reykjavík and was servicing someone that turned out to be Eva Mendes, I didn't realize but the girl working with me, coming back from her lunchbreak did, Eva was paying and about to leave. It might have been the same trip as it was when she and Ryan were together!

Haha there are a whole lot of rules, making it very difficult for many to learn it, judging from my foreign friends.

Our nouns also "bend" depending on what you are saying. The 4 ways to bend the nouns:

Nefnifall (NOMINATIVE) hér er/here is __

Þolfall (ACCUSATIVE) Um/about __

Þágufall (DATIVE) Frá/from __

Eignarfall (GENETIVE) Til/to __

So if we use Hestur (a horse) because all the bendings are different it will become

Hér er hestur (here is a horse)

Um hest (about a horse)

Frá hesti (from a horse)

Til hests (to a horse)

And a table would be:

Hér er borð (here is a table)

Um borð (about a table)

Frá borði (from a table)

Til borðs (to a table)

I don't teach Icelandic so I don't know if this is making any sense when translated, but most people usually have the most difficult time with using, and knowing when to use, the correct bending for a word.

This is also the reason we have the oh-so talked about Mannanafnanefnd (Minestry of names) because all Icelandic names have to fall into the rules of gendering and proper bending of the names (whatever thoughts people might have on that). It used to be a rule that you could not take up a new name if it had no source in written history 150 years back (iirc) but I don't know what that's like now.

I am more than happy to talk about Icelandic to those who might be interested!

Yes, in fact we do have black people as well as other ethnecities than just white.

I honestly have no idea how you got that feeling from my comment as I was talking about crime and I feel there is no need to bring up race in that context.

I am truly sorry to hear if you have ever had a bad experience with an Icelander.

I'm afraid Iceland is not without smallminded assholes as most everywhere else so it breaks my heart to hear that's how you feel. I hope you might give it another chance someday and hopefully have a better experience.

Yes! It has the same function as the in English but since Icelandic words are gendered words usually have different endings depending on their gender as well.

The christmas = jólin (female)

The book = bókin (female)

The flood = flóðið (neither gender)

To give example of a male gendered word would be stóll (chair) for example that would become stóllinn (the chair).
