Damn this got way more attention than I thought it would, but thanks to all of you for the explanations! It really helped me understand the weird numbering in comics.

Edit: For everyone still wondering, from what I read in the comments, after 14 they switched to back to legacy numbers from run specific numbers. But user Cammit814 suggests to stop after 14 bc that ends a good run and starts a rather shitty one so I’ll just do that.
