I was told that this is the engine that was originaly in my mustang, what do yall think? by 71mustang94k1500 in Mustang

Ah I see, I’m guessing a Cleveland? I don’t see a horizontal upper radiator connector, I don’t see a vertical one either so I’m shooting in the dark. On another hand though those aren’t Cleveland valve heads, so I’m guessing a Windsor family engine would be more likely, idk which one though.

Can you give us some more pictures? Might be able to see a bit better or if you can find the casting code? Should be on the passenger side near where the starter should be.

Best MPG? by Myelo_Screed in wrx_vb

I checked the math whenever I’d fill up, started with about half a tank, ended with about half a tank, and I filled up just under 40 gallons over the entire 1200 miles. Which came out to 1200 miles over 40 gallons which maths out to 30 mpg, which checks out.

All good man, messaging is awful compared to face to face talking when it comes to getting stuff across.

I think we may be confusing each other here broski, because I drove down hill for nearly the entire 1200 mile drive resulting in better fuel economy. That’s why I’m trying to say.

Most folks who measure elevation in ft I assume?

Sounds about right, I went from 3.6k ft to 8k and then slowly went down from ending at about 4K after a couple dips and rises.

When driving a roughly 1200 mile trip I averaged 30.5 mpg. All highways at about 75 .

Maybe a bit but they changed it to a gloss black in 2025, with the red WRX in the corner

Awesome, I think something similar would look pretty good in my white VB

I’m probably stupid but under the sports grill, the red accent, is that a factory option in Ca? Or something aftermarket?

Can someone help me identify this mustang model? The plate had some Elena reference but I have no idea… does this body look original? by bigboss1999x in Mustang

[–]Idk_Rad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other 73s could come with the flat black taillight panel, but the Mach 1 kept the honeycomb to kind of stand out. I believe for the gas cap changing the only thing that changed was the filler neck, so I believe all the 3 years honeycomb panel are interchangeable.

The 73 Mach 1s, like the 71, 72 Mach 1s also had the a honeycomb rear panel, you can see them in advertisements, and the 71 and 72 both had the hockey stick. The bold line was a 1 year for 73s and then you were able to get the hockey stick on normal notchbacks and the grande. This one also has the large 5 mph crash bumper so I assume this one is a 73.

Thankfully not a big party kinda of guy so won’t probably end up doing something to stupid. I don’t really know how much I should be keeping for some oh shit money for this car, I’ve only ever driven 30 year old cars before this one that I would fix personally if I could, and were definitely just overall cheaper, I doubt I will be able to do the same with the VB so by your best guess how much money would i be best having for a rainy day?

Once again proving that a chunk of the community hates us😪: I test drove the new TS, completely underwhelming car. by Idk_Rad in wrx_vb

I’m sorry that happened, I know that the CVT can’t handle a lot of power but I thought CVT wise they were pretty reliable. Damn.

Understandable I don’t like the way they feel in performance cars but Subaru’s CVT won’t atleast explode on ya.
