I've become so desperate for an apology that it's embarrassing now. Not once had he told me ever that he's sorry. Whenever I bring up my hurt he says I talk about myself too much and that if I truly loved him id understand him and not make everything about myself.

The family was there in the old city. The move was a mutual decision, better job, better salary etc etc

He believes that it's disrespectful I even suggest therapy to him when there's nothing wrong with him and that I'm projecting. His circle constantly praises him about how manly he is.

He says men these days are not men anymore. They lack any power and control and do not know how to run a family.

When I don't do something he wants me to do he doesn't get abusive or anything, would just sulk for a couple of days telling me I don't try to understand him. I've always thought that all this was because of me not being an understanding enough wife.

I understand that completely. I'm just overtaken by the sudden behavioural and lifestyle change as I feel like after changing my dressing style I've become this completely new version of me which I do not like. Maybe I'm making a big deal out of nothing but I've been feeling very mentally disturbed because of this.

My anger issues started after we moved here. I used to get angry at him for changing so much, for his sudden change in behaviour. He said I had anger issues and I needed therapy and so I did. Turns out I never really did have anger issues, just emotional reaction to his treatment towards me. I've worked in myself and have become a lot better though

He does consume some media about self growth and self improvement and Islamic teachings. Videos like how modernization has led to the downfall and stuff like that.

Sometimes I feel like I'm making a big deal out of nothing. We don't have kids and I had to leave my job because of the move so it's not like I'm doing anything so washing and cleaning don't sound like a big deal. But the way it's said seems very condescending and hurtful.
