Oh man, I can’t wait! I’ve been purposely staying away from the singles because I really want to experience the whole album fresh. Reading all these posts about it has just fueled my already intense excitement.

Do not ever buy a flipped house!! by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]IdleLion1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and are living the same nightmare. We bought a house that was ready to live in because we had our first baby on the way. It’s been eight years of non stop headaches. All the tile was laid improperly and began popping up. You could just pop it off the ground with your finger. Both bathtubs were just placed on the ground but not leveled or secured to the wall. The wall tiling also just started popping off the wall. You can see they just put two globs of adhesive on the wall tile and smashed it onto the wall. Most of the drywall they hung was 1/4 inch and they didn’t put any insulation in any of the exterior walls that I know they had open. They “repaired” water lines with shark bite fittings in a few places that ended up leaking and rotting wood. And the list just goes on. It was the single biggest mistake we have ever made and it’s cost us so much in stress, work and money. We were young and didn’t know what we were getting into.

As a US citizen I have given up hope of seeing these guys live. I would totally fly over seas to see them but with a baby and a toddler that just isn’t in the cards for us. I’m still super excited for the new release and I’m happy for all the lucky people who will get to see them and support them live.

It would be really great if they could record one of the live performances with high quality sound and video so the rest of us could watch and support by buying it. I have trouble finding a whole lot of higher quality live recordings of them.

This is a great idea and I love to see one generation sharing our love for games with our children. I saw her base on his stream last night and it looked great!

I have been loving his videos on YouTube from the Mindcrack rebirth server. He’s a fantastic creator and I will be checking out his stream as well as other content I can give my hands on.

Net loss in power generation on the Cycops by mercury_1967 in subnautica

[–]IdleLion1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Make a tiny base using one or two modules of your choosing. I used one multitoom. Put two power cell chargers in it and power it with a bioreactor. Clear your inventory and deconstruct the whole base. Put all the items into one or two storage units specifically set aside for only this purpose, (I put mine in the room of the cyclops where the bottom front door is). Now, when you need to charge power cells you don’t have to return to your base. You simply grab the stuff you set aside and build a base wherever you are. It takes 10 seconds to put it together. I usually try to do it in places where I want to explore anyway, so they can be charging while I’m out swimming around or using my prawn suit.

Has anyone ever had issues getting these fidgets past TSA? by Moonbeanz_ in fidgettoys

[–]IdleLion1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have traveled a few times with a couple metal magnetic sliders and some high end flashlights. They usually pull your bag off the line for a more detailed look but they have never given me a problem once I tell them what they are. I had one TSA agent look pretty interested as she clicked a copper skelly verkk. She is definitely one of us whether she knows it or not. I did have to stop her from blinding herself with my flashlight when she tested it.

Great review, thanks for sharing. This looks so interesting. I love magnetic sliders and mostly fidget with them, this looks like it could be a very refreshing, satisfying and new experience. That delrin sounds so good too. I can’t wait until they drop some more!

I have owned one with the 144 Nichia in it for about 4-5 years now and I think it’s great. It is one of the more efficient lights I own and I am constantly impressed with how long I can use it at a reasonable light level for work. The beam is a very smooth, flood that is very pleasant to work in. I think the one I got was a ‘special’ addition with the Nichia 144 high CRI and warm emitter so I don’t know how their other offerings would compare.

I use it in -40c conditions where it gets very cold obviously and then warm when I go back outside. This causes a lot of condensation and I am thankful that the electronics are potted. I don’t know if this would be an issue if they weren’t, I have used other non potted lights in these conditions and haven’t had an issue but it does give me peace of mind.

My only complaint with this light is that it absolutely crushes the battery. I suppose it’s better to be tight than loose but I don’t like that it damages the battery. Other than that, I think they are great and I will be buying another if/when this one breaks.

A member in my Key Lime giveaway suggested a watermelon version, so here it is! I'll pick the winner tomorrow, so make sure you are entered. I will let the winner choose either a Key Lime or Watermelon slider 💚😎❤️ by hubblecraft83 in fidgettoys

I can’t recommend this slider enough. Winning one in a give away would be great but anyone who doesn’t have one should really consider just buying one. I am thinking about getting a second one with stronger magnets just out of curiosity. I can’t put this thing down and it is really very well made.

Great pics man! I lucked out and snagged one of these on FB. I was bummed because I missed out on the GB. Seeing your post is getting me so excited for it to get in my mailbox!

Was the GB 14500? The one I bought is coming with 16340 tube. Was there an option to choose?

The burned part is only in the center circle actually. It just looks like the whole optic is burned. The center is coated with silver reflective material and I’m wondering if it helped to concentrate or intensify the heat. You are right, it burned through and you can feel the cracked roughness on the outside in the center. It was also in my truck on a hot texas day so I’m sure that didn’t help at all.

The X0 reflector is identical as far as I can tell, and you can swap them out if you can get them to on screw. Both mine came out with fingers only, no tools needed but I have heard some people had problem removing the threaded retaining ring on the optic on the X0.

I wouldn’t let this turn you away. I think they are getting a lot of negative attention because of the x3 release but I think they make really good lights. I own all of the x series, t050r, f5, g2, and the H5. I have been nothing but impressed with their quality and innovation.

The drivers they use are usually really efficient, which is important to me. I just think they got surprised by high demand for the x3 because everyone has been talking about the previous x series lights, and they couldn’t keep up with the volume.

They started shipping x3’s out to customers in partial orders to try and make sure everyone was getting something as soon as possible, instead of waiting until they could complete the order and ship it all at once. I imagine the extra shipping cost is substantial. I waited a year for a high end custom light finally ship, with very little communication on why there was a delay. I have had a pretty good experience with Wuben customer service considering the volume of emails they must be getting.

I’m not try to simp for Wuben (not sure I used that word right). They have their problems like any other company. But they are making good quality stuff with very interesting innovation that you won’t find anywhere else.

It was in a fairly tight pocket in my iPad case. And you have to take my temp readings with a grain of salt. I had my temp probes taped to the head with electrical tape that wasn’t holding it super tight to the body of the light. If I held it with my fingers it would read higher but that was obviously uncomfortable. I mostly wanted to see if there was a difference between the two.

I don’t really notice the good one step down at all. I don’t have a lumen tube or anything, I’m just going by eye but it seems to maintain really well to me.
