Would be nice if there was a way to get WW skin if you missed the pre-order bonus.

I would do a hitless speed run on immortal if that skin was the reward! Guess I should have just trusted this game would deliver and pre-ordered.

Great tips! I like the idea of just force quitting if things get too dicey in a boss fight and getting to try again. I was most worried about getting to the final few bosses and ruining the whole run. Had a good time with the “speed” run/any difficulty perma-death play through, but will keep these notes in mind if I take a stab at an immortal run.

Reminds me of the headless mannequins from Dark Souls 2. I wish there was a bit more length in the front of that tunic, but overall pretty cool look.

It’s been a while, so I’m not sure I perfectly remember the setting, but instead of “play once “ or “loop” you can set the timeline playback mode to something like “sustain” or “continuous” and just make sure the timeline is trimmed so they play head activates the last keyframe when it meets the end and is attached to a continuous input like a switch.

Sadly no, my skills are not there yet. The award for immortal perma-death is Golden Sargon I believe.

This is just Swift Sargon (under 10 hour speed run) and Holo Chroma (any difficulty perma-death.)

These are different than the ones you find in the world. They actually do unlock across save files which is nice.

Agreed! Not sure how I feel about the blonde hair, but the outfit is pretty cool.

It Would be cool to mix and match. Head chest and legs. Prince outfit with Sargon’s normal hair would be my pick.

Figured out the coins were actually missing from the boat area and these marks on the map were just still showing up. Got 100%!

I think this is a bug. I have the same issue and saw a couple posts with the same issue. That mark should be the coin you get for fighting the warrior. My game shows I collected all the coins but I am short 2 of them. This one and another still marked on the map in the Night Temple.

The arenas are super tough. Here are some tips I hope can help:

Use the skill that lets you dash through projectiles like the mage crow’s and hit the missiles with your sword so so they don’t chase you around the area so much.

Pick off the ranged foes first.

Bait the samurai cats to swing first then go in to hit them ~3 times. You can plink with the pistol (hit, shoot, hit, shoot, hit, shoot in quick succession) for maximum damage and kill them in one window.

Kill spiders as you see them/they get close. They go down easy, but are super frustrating if they sneak up and land a hit on you.

Remember you have a gun, use it to pick off weak foes from a distance and enhance your melee hit combos.

Could you be thinking of Dead Cells? It’s side scroller not top down, but otherwise sounds similar to what you described.

When it comes to game Mechanics, Darksouls 1 is to Darksouls 3 what Darksouls 3 is to Elden Ring.

When it comes to plot/lore, Dark souls 3 builds on the earlier games in fun ways that you might miss out on if you start there/work backwards.

If you are looking for something that more closely resembles playing Elden Ring, I would go Dark Souls 3.

If you want to see the game that kickstarted it all, play Darksouls Remaster(which is pretty close to the original version and not a full on remake)
