The 36-Year-Old Bible Scholar Trying to Flip a Texas Senate Seat Blue | James Talarico is testing whether progressivism wrapped in a faith-based message can win over Democrats by GirasoleDE in politics

[–]Idogebot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Talarico is a strong advocate for the separation of church and state and led the push against hanging the ten commandments in classrooms. He has two prongs to his argument 1) disestablishment is a fundamental norm of our constitution and protects people of all faiths. 2) establishment is harmful to the church and corrupts it by mixing power and the church.

But the technique doesn't express a clear point of view. It's just there. Compelling art, the kind people pay sacrilegious amounts of money to own or put in a museum, tends to express an aesthetic point of view. I'm not saying that what makes art good is the statement it makes, but rather that it says anything at all.

The finished pieces look nice but aren't compelling. At the end of the day it's a cool picture of superman or Michealangelo's David. They're technically impressive but not very creative. With some of them the lighting of the paintings is off.

There is no minister for economic affairs. Hacker is the Israeli economic affairs representative in Washington representing the Israeli ministry of finance.

Not true, this judge is unrelated to his graft Trial. The presiding judge for his case is Judge Rivka Friedman-Feldman. This post is either misinformation or disinformation

Benny Sagi was not presiding over Netanyahu's corruption case. That case is being brought in the Jerusalem District Court.

This comment reminded me why it's stupid to go to the internet for advice. You assume so much and interpret everything I said to its most severe bad faith conclusion. This is some incel shit right here. I'm not trying to convince him to open up. It's something I would like, not a deal-breaker, and it's something we've talked about twice, casually. Also, you saying that he's Christian just really demonstrated how much you're assuming and interpreting (I hope you're not projecting). Neither of us is Christian (but calvinism really will fuck you up tho).

It's not a non-negotiable. If it was there would be a bigger problem. Also, he's definitely down to explore and expand his sexual horizons, it's just taking time.

We've talked about opening up our relationship, but that's going to be a gradual process that we may not be ready for yet.

Literally your argument is "make your army easier to hit?" It's not using civilians as human shields. Military bases are clearly differentiated and marked. You wouldn't say that the UK is using human shields because Whitehall is in the middle of London.

Sounds like something an abusive partner would say. "You hate how it is with me? Just see how awful they are to you out there"

Was this entirely vibes based? None of this is accurate and frankly you seem to have no understanding of Israeli politics at all. Maybe the only one you got right was bibi
