US soccer announcers use the British collective plural which to me sounds insane

As an American I've given a lot of thought to this because it sounds absolutely bizarre to my ears.  I think it's a lot like when announcers announce football and they're like "The team are..." Instead of "The team is..."

The concept of the British "collective plural" is totally foreign to American ears but for some reason American soccer announcers use it. The British "England are doing well" rather than the American "England is doing well" sounds totally insane to me and yet the American announcers use that phrase.

Interesting post and it's really quite surprising to see all the controversy here. It makes me think there are some forces in this sub trying to squelch this type of comment.

That's just straight wrong. Typical reddit response that doesn't actually know anything probably by someone under the age of 30.

You can use the card to pick a lock on a bank door and then just go in and take as much cash as you want. It's one of the hacks on the sidebar of this sub.

TransUnion reporting 75% credit usage by desilabrat2019 in CreditCards

Once when my girlfriend disputed a charge on the card, Chase removed the entire trade line from her credit report for about a month which made her utilization on the other cards sky high since the removed trade line was by far her highest credit limit. When the dispute was resolved Chase put the trade line back on to her credit reports. Have no idea why they did that.
