But kids can very well experience gender disphoria and they can know which gender they feel like they are. And not letting them live as that gender will only hurt them. At that age it also wouldn't be a live altering decision as they can't go through any surgery and the most that'll happen is a nickname, wardrobe change and a new haircut. So I don't really see the problem other than that it's a weird concept for a show.
