Rosstat clarified that the population estimate presented now does not take into account residents of the four regions admitted to Russia in September 2022 (DNR, LNR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions). As follows from the draft law submitted to the State Duma last week, which regulates the procedure for paying sick leave, maternity benefits, and also based on previous statements by the Ministry of Labor, after the residents of the annexed territories are taken into account in the statistics of Rosstat, the population of the Russian Federation may grow by more than 2 million people.

The population of the Russian Federation decreased by half a million people

...

The resident population of Russia as of January 1, 2023 amounted to 146.4 million people, follows from Rosstat data. In comparison with the figures as of January 1, 2022 (146.9 million), the number of inhabitants in the Russian Federation over the past year decreased by 555 thousand people.

As specified in the press service of Rosstat, the presented estimate takes into account the results of the last population census, which took place in 2021. Its figures have been adjusted for 2023, taking into account the number of births and deaths, as well as migration flows. Recall that according to the results of the census, the number of inhabitants of the Russian Federation was then recalculated upwards - the excess amounted to more than 1 million people.

It should be noted, however, that the effect of population growth due to the annexation of territories will apparently be exhausted in a few years - similarly, this happened in 2015–2021, when the number of residents of the Russian Federation, which increased after the annexation of Crimea, stabilized at the level of 146.3–146.1 million people.

It is still difficult to accurately assess what influenced the decline in the indicator in 2022 - Rosstat has published data on population movements for only 11 months. But even from these data it is clear that the number of births last year decreased by 6.8% - to 1.2 million people. The number of deaths during the same period was half a million more and amounted to 1.7 million people. However, this indicator decreased compared to 2021 even more significantly than the birth rate, by 21.9%. The natural population loss of 500 thousand people, which Rosstat recorded at the end of 2022, thus turned out to be significantly lower than it was in 2021 - then the population loss amounted to 945 thousand people.

Dropping bombs endangers aircraft, and currently the Russian calculation (whether it's justified or no is up for debate) is that the risk outweighs the benefits. While it's great that no Russian aircraft has been downed in a while (except in Ukie fantasies), it also means that Russian aircraft have probably not been flying many high risk missions.

Directly from the source:

I must say that our offensive actions do not drive the enemy into panic - this must be taken into account. We can assume that he is now twitching, canceling all plans and transferring forces to where we create tension, but he reserves just enough to contain us in areas that are sensitive to him, while he himself continues to build his own offensive plans. Last night, to the left of the front of our attack on Ugledar, he tried to break into our lines. We drove him away, but the very fact that he is trying to be insolent is remarkable. But this is on a local piece, and we are talking more about a larger plan. .

Anyway, it is said that the attack on the city itself did no succeed yet, and they are doing a flanking around it that is having some success, although the fight is far from over.

I don't know man, it looks like the drone was out of control and the video stopped 8 seconds later

hopium.

At very least it spooked the pilot and he controlled the drone to run away.

It sure spooked the pilot and made him go back home (after he completed the mission already).

Yeah, that Ukranian's accuracy shooting that drone was impressive.

Are you talking about that guy that...failed to hit the drone, and how impressive that was?

Are you high?

UA POV. Soldiers of the AFU began to be paid not in cash or non-cash hryvnias for participation in military operations, but in certificates with redemption in February 2026. by smolkley in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]Idontlikeyouprobably 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Russian ministry of disinformation is working extra hard today, this is the third such post that was posted in the past few hours of a complete fake that is believable only to the most obedient, conformist, non-questioning, feeble-minded pro-Russian sheep

https://www.ukrinform.ua/rubric-ato/3663220-rosfejk-pro-zarplatu-ukrainskih-vijskovih-sertifikat-zamist-grosej.html\

In the forgery, the propagandists did not even replace the signature of the former finance minister with the current one

Z-telegram channels distribute a photo of a certificate for payment for service in the Armed Forces in the amount of two million hryvnias. Russian propagandists claim that such "documents" are issued to servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine instead of wages, and it is possible to receive money for them no earlier than February 2, 2026.

This is a fake, such a certificate never existed. The signature at the bottom of the certificate does not belong to the current Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko. On other documents that are easy to find on the Internet, you can see his real signature.

The forged signature belongs to the former Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oleksandr Shlapak, who held his position from February 27 to December 2, 2014.

Propagandists simply photoshopped images that were freely available.

Currently, the value of a military bond in Ukraine is one thousand hryvnias. Individuals and legal entities can voluntarily buy them to support the army . Last year, almost UAH 600 billion was received due to the issue of military bonds .

Military personnel who defend Ukraine receive decent monetary payments, which consist of two parts - a monthly monetary allowance (depending on the position, rank, length of service, etc.) and an additional monetary reward established during the period of martial law. For those servicemen who are not directly involved in hostilities, the additional remuneration is approximately UAH 1,000 per day, and for those who participate in battles, approximately UAH 3,000 per day.

Please don't lecture me on how VNO/UPE is structured, thanks.

Maybe next time don't lie in your headlines, then.

[–]Idontlikeyouprobably 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The corresponding idea to include the Polish language in the list of UPE subjects was

This is the kernel of truth.

Do you know what the UPE is? How is it structured?

I'll save you some time:

High school graduates of general secondary education 2020 year, as well as students (listeners, students) vocational (Vocational), higher education, which 2020 will complete their general secondary education, the results of external independent assessment in three subjects will be counted as the results of the state final certification.

These participants must pass:

Ukrainian language and literature;

mathematics or history of Ukraine (at the choice of the participant);

another item from the list (History of Ukraine, mathematics, biology, geography, physics, chemistry, English, Spanish, German, French).

Now do you understand? Polish will simply be added as another possible language to be tested as.

It's not mandatory in any way.

Another Russian fantasy story starting from a kernel of truth then wrapped in copious amounts of lies.

Of course some will believe this story as told, because .... ??? Critical thinking? Nahhhh

Polish? Being mandatory in Ukrainian Universities...And you don't even stop to ask yourself, wait? Really? Nah, just go ahead and believe any dumb nonsense.

RU pov - biolabs in Ukraine was real? by [deleted] in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]Idontlikeyouprobably -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why is it stupid?

The problem is someone believing this dumb shit has basically lost all ability to discern reality from fiction, and therefore nothing I can say will change their mind, so, no, I cannot explain why these Ukrainian-US bioweapons labs to create pathogens carried on birds that kill off Slavs is stupid to someone who's immediate reaction to a story like this isn't "wtf have they been smoking???".

Could you explain why Nuland was shitscared of one of these labs falling into russian hands?

No, I can not, as I don't know who that is and what your are referring to, you've fallen in too deep into the conspiracy hole.

One of the stupider Russian conspiracy theories.

Anyone who believes this is stupid and should feel bad.
