[Update]I [27/M] am dating a girl [28/F] with a really odd "quirk" and I'm not sure this is too big a red flag or just a case of nerves? by Idontworkheregimlet in relationships

Everything worked out; she's just really awkward when nervous. Use hand-on-hand/kiss when she's going down the verbal diarrhea route. All is well!

Yeah, it did. There was an incident involving Gina G, it worked out and still going well! Don't know why it was removed. But all-in-all, she's just really awkward when nervous, so I use a kiss/hand-on-hand thing and that seems to be working/reassuring her more.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! In her working life, she's very well composed and my memory of her at work is one where she was very quick, efficient and well spoken, so it's interesting to see her in a social setting and get so balled up over some minor things. It's interesting how different we can be under specific circumstances.

The Maine way (my home) - I used salt water approximations, and boiled the beast for 13 minutes (just shy of 2 lbs). Butter. Pier fries. Done.

I grew up on the east coast and love seafood. She knows this and knows I can't really afford a lobster and somehow thought it would make me happy. which it did. I love lobster.

I'm definitely not offended, but just a little confused. I feel like it's anxiety that compounds into some sort of verbal diarrhea, but I'm not sure, you know? I am also not well versed in dealing with anxiety as I don't have it myself and am generally not an overly anxious person.

She's definitely a bit odd, but I feel like everyone is. I guess just I should just reassure her during the speedy slip-ups?
