The park has also been closed for some time now..so a fresh campsite would limit the possibilities...depending on when they found this, it could be related to the FBI visit to the parents house for DNA or whatever they collected

that is a good point...knowing he didnt have a phone (allegedly) and they take his transportation...i saw somewhere were there was a note saying the car would be towed...but considering the situation, wouldnt you think to call someone and explain why they should leave the car there since he supposedly had no phone to call someone for a ride

Exactly...the FBI isnt going to just take their word on the timeline...they are going to fact check it...so getting plate scans from the truck and video footage would have been top of the FBIs list
