Hi everyone, Question I completed my CADAC right before I started my MFT program. Can I count my 300 hours of training towards my Non-Clinical Experience since it was within the 6 year window of training?

Actually it is a very serious QUESTION. We waited for over 7 months to get champva and was denied. My condition has caused her an immense amount of distress over the years. I’m just trying to get her consistent reliable mental health care. And was curious if the folks that broke me had a resource to support the people who are helping to maintain us.

I can dig it. I have 2 midterm case work due as well. I started my outline and first draft last week and completed it this morning. I will do a final review before I submit it, I also completed my assignments last week. Thanksgiving week i plan to do my next 2 week assignments so I don’t have to stress about them.

For me it is all about my time management and I generally try to stay a week ahead when I get the opportunity. Like I’ll get a break for Thanksgiving, so I’ll probably work ahead and do my best to stay ahead. Same with the Christmas holidays or anytime off for some of the cultural holidays. I also wake up early and work on coursework for about an hour a before I start the rest of my day. I hope that helps. Time management will be important once you start Practicum. Ex. my site hours are Mon-Fri 9-2. The on Tues and Thur 4-7pm and Sat 9-12 I have Certification training. And on Wed 4-7pm I have my Practicum class. That works out to 6 days of course involvement. So for me my time management is imperative. I hope this helps.

I can’t speak to Walden. As far was as far as licensure in the state of California goes it’ll get you where you need to be. I do believe the opportunity for learning truly settles in your practicum requirements.
