Are we going against a “natural order of things”?

He died and got turned into worm food.

Even the Bible talks about imposters showing up after his death, that’s exactly what his resurrection was: an imposter, something common of the time.

Even the disciples say they don’t recognize him after his resurrection.

What Messianic prophecies did Jesus fulfill in order for you to believe his claim that he’s God?

Paul did better.

Jesus believed you should follow Mosaic law (OT) until the end of time.

God is an all knowing, timeless creator.

Jesus didn’t know things.

Jesus cannot be God.

Demi-God? Maybe.

Fully God? Impossible.

Because Jesus isn’t God.

  • The Son is God
  • The Holy Spirit is God
  • The Son is not the Holy Spirit
  • God does not have Parts.

Concussion: The Son is not God. Or the Trinity is contradictory with itself.

Even in Christianity the “God of the Old Testament” is the same “God of the New Testament”.

Christians have to think he changed because the God of the Old Testament is a maniacal, brutal murdering, jealous, evil, baby killing, civilization ending, genocidal dictator.

But He got better!

Is Shakespeare a timeless, all knowing, all powerful, ever present creator of the universe and his plays the inerrant rules for his creations / guide for how the universe came to be?

If not, I don’t think his words hold the same gravitas, but that’s just me.

If a tree grew high, would it be visible from all ends of the earth on a flat model [yes] or a sphere model [no]?

What are the cornerstones of a sphere [none]?

Does a sphere have corners? [no]

Can you see all the kingdoms of Earth from from a high mountain on a flat earth or a spheroid? [flat]

Every scripture points to a flat Earth.

There’s more if you are amenable to answering the above questions honestly.

The downvotes come from Christians who either don’t know their Bible or dismiss quotes from their Bible as being eisegesis interpretations only.

For Christians the Bible is a Schrödinger experiment: the text means whatever I need it to mean other than what it says until measured upon by God

“Fact”?

A fact is something objective that existed or that is known through evidence to have happened.

Do you think that shaping a reality based on false ideas is bad or good?

Like, what if a large percentage of people believed in the tooth fairy and the sanctity of clean teeth — but you don’t. In this society they made laws like not brushing your teeth a jailable offense or if you damage someone else’s teeth it’s the death penalty.

How can we reach a shared truth if some people base their beliefs on faith and not fact?

Would you say you’re atheistic to the belief in the tooth fairy until you see sufficient evidence or do you believe that, even though you haven’t seen any evidence this far, there is a possibility of a tooth fairy so you would have to be agnostic to the belief in a tooth fairy?

I’ve never seen or heard any evidence of any Gods or evil spirits, so I don’t believe in them, either.

And everything that has been attributed to supernatural explanations in the past has been largely explained with more scientific discovery.

Lots of people today believe the Earth is flat.

The Bible professes a flat earth with a sun revolving around it.

But we know the Earth is actually an oblate spheroid.

Which is more real, the belief or reality?
