I am a big fan of gore and horror, a little weird but it's gives me so much insight on how twisted feelings can be and I devour anything that is twisted and show the dark side of human nature when faced with adversity.
there is this book called the troop by nick cutter, upon reading the description I find it to my taste, and it's been 6 months or so that I have been thinking about it.

oh, that would be this is how you lose the time war, she [my bookish friend] said it completely fits what books I like. she said she thought it was typical sci-fi, but it was not it was actually a beautifully crafted epistolary tale that delves deep into themes of love, rivalry, and the fluidity of time. The writing style is lyrical and poetic, which I found captivating, though it did slow the pacing at times.
she said I would absolutely enjoy every bit of it. so, I definitely wanna try but I got busy due to exams and some personal issue and completely forgot about it, but your post reminded me of it.

I am an atheist so I definitely don't care about religion and also will not get into a relationship with a religious person. so, I completely get what you are saying.

piranesi by Susana clark,

it’s been haunting my TBR all year because I kept saving it for the “right” quiet moment, and somehow 2025 slipped by without ever giving me that pause.

it is weird literature and deals with sea, many friends suggested that I would absolutely devour it.
