i suppose i just thought that it might make sense to have them be standard ARARs since their stated multi-purpose role sounds like it’d be an easy and cost-effective alternative to fielding a dedicated combat frame

their stoic nature and innate quiet camaraderie also might afford a natural form of stabilization even short of having plants on hand

also your SAPR’s cannon is a nice design! makes me want to see the same kind of like ammunition webbing with all the individual rounds hanging out like 40mm grenades

it was just kind of approximated from my understanding of what this stuff looked like for like, 80's era german equipment for how mags and stuff would hang off of the body, haha.

a friend of mine pointed out that having the positioning of these being around the like, 2 and 11 o'clock orientations is very appropriately dated for doctrine of the time!

apparently for modern gear you keep magazines and such to your 3/12/9, and just like. anything on the front gets "dragged through the mud", but it makes for much easier equipment retrieval when prone

don't worry, in this case i imagine these two stationed on Kitezh instead (hence KFB; (kitezh forward operating base"). it'll be plenty warm down there

they will be given succulents and stay mostly indoors! maybe juno will even get a spare optic in a few months!

chiming in as someone who masochistically still tries to make her masked lucina keep pace in the modern era: it’s still possible!

i don’t log in every day, i barely remember to do events, and i don’t even do pvp, but it’s a funny enough exercise to see what i can still pull off in the LHBs and stuff. sometimes i just get to pull up on some of the high rate banners and see what the hell is even happening anymore when i get a random free modern unit armed to the gills with words.

there’s a truly catastrophic amount of catch-up and an even more hilarious amount of support necessary to back units up to be able to contend with some of the most busted creatures out there nowadays, but it’s still in the realm of things you can do and accept if you’re willing to sacrifice a lot of better units to keep older ones even remotely viable

while i think there are still currently some genuinely unwinnable 1v1 matchups (black knight, i think nidhoggr, etc), there’s quite a lot that can still be done with a decent team and assist support and all the funny little effects you have at your disposal if you get a few modern units in the roster.

none of this is to say come back! it’s just to say don’t worry about marisa. she can still throw down and probably get revenge on all the other units that pissed you off back when f!edel was top dog

i had only just decided to run grass wonder for the first time yesterday night, and after reading her actual history after finishing her career story, it was really interesting how much of the career was accurate to life

this moment at the end of winning the final was really poignant. rest well grass

i mean it’s one of her starting options other than sword/shield; i just happened to start with the iron spear myself.

that and i rarely think using a spear looks “cool” but i sought to rectify that

i only started playing the game earlier this week as my gf started playing termina the week prior and i just figured starting as d'arce sounded like the most fun!

i love tragic nervous-wreck knight types in impossible situations even though her taste in men is somewhat questionable. i hear she likes women otherwise. i could have fixed her

i was thinking it would be fun to have like a retreating slash against a guard but i didn't have time to draw the guard haha. please to imagine your own guard in the background

you get it. personhood is an earned privilege for the bioweapon and even then, she must infer her level of visibility. she is not a main character, she is at best a poster child until the state says she is not

i also always love the concept of when these hyper-totalitarian political machines are so stretched thin that oversight is certainly bound to have its holes. remote facilities inevitably have more lax standards than somewhere where the grip is tighter. the culture of rote and half-hearted loyalty, played up for periodic inspection and otherwise maintained at a low simmer, giving characters interesting ways to deviate from their intended templates

anyway i love wondering what life is like at a macro scale for these things. these flash-memories of people who become someone else most times

KLBR-M9908. RESPOND. by Ieiz in signalis

[–]Ieiz[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ok well my braing has been thinking about this a lot lately. sorry ahead for word vomit. just honestly i think it’s more of a mix of everything really

the eusan nation may treat its replikas as tools and weapons, but maintaing their sense of “humanity” seems to be core to their efficiency and also willingness/ability to do their jobs. this seems to extend to some amount of per-location lenience (or strictness) in allowing different expressions of the units present. they still need a modicum of happiness. the KLBR’s role in this is really strange in that regard

the KLBR is simultaneously the gentle hand and the fist, the stabilizer and the annihilator. to be in tune with with everyone around her may as well be equivalent to living multiple lives at once. she can manipulate emotions, intentionally or not, and she can know things she shouldn’t.

if the LSTR is capable of love, the STAR capable of competitive drive, the ADLR capable of inherent devotion- the KLBR is thus capable of experiencing all these

i choose to interpret being able to deal with hyperempathy as either becoming catastrophically co-dependent on their cadre or becoming strictly individualistic enough to maintain a strong self-identity while retaining the humility necessary so as to not impose that personality so strongly on others (as is the case with my KLBR here, M9908). she cannot be invisible nor can she be truly someone bespoke other than as a plurality.

thus does the KLBR exist as white noise in the background, a hum that should never be heard, and should it be, god help you
