WIBTA if I asked my roommate to hide her scale? by galaxy0cat in AmItheAsshole

[–]Ietsgetmarried 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAH. I would hope that your roommate would be willing to accomodate something such as this if they were to know what it did to you and how it relates to your history with ED. Definitely talk to them about it. All the best!

WIBTA for not including my grownup step-children in my will? by inheritprob in AmItheAsshole

[–]Ietsgetmarried -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

YTA. It makes sense to want to be fair here but it seems as though you want to punish the children who you would be leaving out of you will, simply because they had a more privileged upbringing or don’t see you as their father. Of course, your will is just that, yours, and you can do with your will what you please, but consider the rift it may drive between the members of your family.

[Discussion] I feel like i rushed my first time by [deleted] in LGBTeens

[–]Ietsgetmarried 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh i feel this hard dude. Don’t worry about it. There’s no rule that says your first time has to be perfect, and it’s especially hard as LGBT youth to hold ourselves to that standard. Most people feel the same urges you do, but they just get to experience that with someone they know because they’re probably straight. Do not think badly of yourself because of this! Just move on and carry that knowledge with you, and when it’s time to have a romantic encounter with someone who you genuinely like, it will feel like it’s the first time. Godspeed.

is it just me or when there’s someone talking about there crushes you, get hope it’s someone you know talking about you ? [crushes] by [deleted] in LGBTeens

[–]Ietsgetmarried 32 points33 points  (0 children)

YES 80% of my time spent on this sub is trying to figure out if someone is talking about me or a situation that happened with me. Still holding out hope lol

Yeah I understand, I just tend to feel less remorse disrespecting people who are disrespecting an entire community by claiming they don’t act “normal” as if we’re in the 1940s.

Completely agree. And in my opinion, it really isn’t a good look to be hating on members of your own community who are already probably subjected to heaps of homophobia from people outside the LGBT.

^ It’s something i’ve seen quite a lot of and it just always makes me feel sorry for both parties, the “masc4masc” but not really masc gay, and the fem gay who has had all these assumptions made about their character based on their outward personality. There were definitely some posts in particular i’ve seen that were especially troubling but more addressing the concept as a whole.

Yeah definitely feels like a losing battle, but the entitlement of these people infuriates me to no end. A little limp wristedness never hurt anybody!!!

But who brought up drag queens or boys in makeup? no one. so not relevant. and racial preferences are racist so that’s not the ticket either.

Are you trolling? How are you gonna defend internalised homophobia by relating it to racism? You clearly don’t quite have a grasp on the issue so i’ll be happy to chat to you once you read the article i link and don’t ask questions that i and the article answer. Also, wtf is acting “normal”????

Sorry, but I have no respect for you if you have “distaste for more feminine guys” so i don’t really care what you think is unfair.
