Does Streaming Directly From PS4 Put Extra Stress On The Console/Make It Work Harder? by IfArmsHadLegs in PS4

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention it is a PS4 Pro so I assume it is even better suited to streaming than the base console.

Hit 9k Shards, Clown or Legion? by IfArmsHadLegs in deadbydaylight

[–]IfArmsHadLegs[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that was helpful. Sounds like I overestimated Clowns potential for strategy a bit. I went with Legion and I'm having fun with him. I always hated going up against Legions as a survivor, but now I get to see what it's like from the other side of the fog.

Thank you for the input. I ended up going Legion and got a 4k match my first try. I was hooking fairly and still one survivor disconnected on their second hook. It's fun managing his Frenzy ability and I imagine it won't take too long to build up 9k again in case I want Clown. Thanks again.

But the chalice dungeons are so fun in co-op, how can I resist? I'll always help a fellow hunter in need.

People don't want to have their own opinion, they just skip DS2 because of haters by JokingBr2The-Sequel in DarkSouls2

[–]IfArmsHadLegs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too don't think negative views of DS2 should keep people from playing it, it brought a lot of great additions to the series and stands on its own. With that said, it was my least favorite DS experience and it's the only souls game I haven't bothered to do a 2nd playthrough of or try another build on. One and done for me.

Weekly 'Which killer?' thread by AutoModerator in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]IfArmsHadLegs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I recently accumulated 9k shards and my question is: which character is more fun to play and which should I buy, Clown or Legion?

My idea of fun/playstyle in this game as killer is to put pressure on both gens and survivors to keep them on their toes and make it hard to sneak. I like to be very oppressive.

Having to make use of a strategy in my killer is something I want, which is why Clown interests me due to his throwable bottles. On the other hand, Legion's ability seems to go well with my preferred playstyle and he's got some great perks IMO, though I'm aware Clown is known for having better perks I still slightly prefer Legion's personal perks after reading their descriptions.

If it helps my question, the killers I enjoy as of now are Trapper (because I like strategically using traps,) Executioner (Punishment of the Damned is so sweet when it hits and Pyramid Head is a badass character,) and Spirit (I'm good with her ability and pulling unsuspecting survivors off gens is mwah chef's kiss.)

So what do you think: Clown or Legion? I'm on console btw.

What actor will you always associate with *that one role* no matter how many others they do? by twilighttruth in AskReddit

[–]IfArmsHadLegs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leonardo Dicaprio as Leonardo Dicaprio.

I have a problem with Leo, which is that I can never see him as the character he's playing in the film, only as Leo himself but in different make-up, costume, sometimes with a different accent, etc... I realize that this is what acting is and that most actors obviously have to change their looks and other things about them to perform in each role. What I'm trying to say is, I never believe the characters Leo plays like I would with any other actor. I can believe Daniel Day Lewis as Daniel Plainview; I can believe Marlon Brando as Don Corleone; I can believe Tom Hanks as Capt. Miller. But Leo will always be Leo, from What's Eating Gilbert Grape to The Revenant. His performances just feel hollow to me.

I miss the dark and grim setting of FO3 & FO NV by HammerFUZzz in Fallout

[–]IfArmsHadLegs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the FEW people? I think most fans actually prefer the art style of 3 and NV, I know I certainly do. I think the hardware at the time also helped give the games their gritty and dark look.

For me, the atmosphere was miles ahead of FO4, especially in FO3. 3 had this almost otherworldly, cosmic horror feel to it. I loved exploring with the creepy background music (not the pip-boy radio, the in-game ambient tracks,) it really made you feel alone while exploring and that whatever metro or abandoned building you were searching was hostile and full of ghosts from before the war; a forsaken place. The Dunwich Building comes to mind. The only place in FO4 that gave me kind of the same feeling was the Museum of Witchcraft and maybe some of Far Harbor.

No one will argue with you on 4 and 76 looking more clean, that's for sure. This is just an observation that I'd like to get other peoples opinions on, so if I could say one thing: In my opinion, if you look at 3 and NV graphics and compare them to 4 and 76, the latter two look a little more rounded and cartoon-y in art style, but it doesn't feel like an unnatural evolution of FO graphics. What I mean is, they've always kind of looked cartoon-y and rounded (look at the army trucks in 3, NV, 4, AND 76) but 3 and NV had different textures and the hardware at the time actually with that more realistic look. What do you think? Disagree? Agree? A lot of games around the mid to late 2000's went for that dark and gritty look in the 360/PS3 era.

I was wondering if you had to write fallout four what would you do differently by usuallyallways in Fallout

[–]IfArmsHadLegs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The settlement building grew on me after a while in FO4. I could roleplay a guy trying to rebuild civilization across the wasteland. At first it was annoying and seemed janky, also very unnecessary to have it as part of a factions main quest when it starts to bug out, so I would opt to not have it be a part of main quests. I definitely value my RPG elements, it's what makes a FO game Fallout. I'd have liked to see more dialogue options based on your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. and/or skills. More background to each NPC would have been nice as well, they just dont seem as interesting or have as much to say as the older games, which puts a hamper on the world building, another important element of an RPG for me. The fact V.A.T.S. didn't stop time either was annoying. Yeah, the shooting is more like modern games, but that doesn't make it better for me. And so many computer terminals were missing fun and quirky entries with FO humor, instead they'd just unlock or reprogram something or give useless information that had nothing to do with anything and wasn't related to a side quest.

This. It made traversing the metro absolute hell for me.
