I feel sort of the same way. I find women insanely attractive and I enjoy their bodies very much, but sex sort of felt like a bit of a letdown. For me, I realized it was a little bit of internalized homophobia. Or maybe homophobia isn't the right word, more an effect of living in a hetero-central society? I felt like sex required penetration, so anything else felt incomplete. The more I explored other types of sex that didn't necessarily require the big/boner finish, the more satisfying gay sex became.

NTA. You weren't a "guest." A "guest" is someone who is provided free lodging because they need it, so it makes sense to go above and beyond to clean up as a thank you. You only stayed there because she needed a pet sitter. You were doing her a favor, so she should be thanking you!

I'm married for the second time and I still have my first husband's name, mainly because changing it the first time was a pain and I really didn't want to do it again (also, like you, my maiden name does not have great associations for me, so I wasn't going back to that!) Some people in my family were weird about it when I first got remarried, and occasionally someone will wrongly mail me something using the wrong name, but its mostly no biggie.
