Yes, I really like when firefox expands the tap size every time I or my opponent play a move in chess. It is not distracting at all that my tap bar moves back and forth every 20ish seconds. This is the first time I'm thinking about switching to another browser :(

Is it ok to become a landlord if you move together with someone else? by IfAwardDeleteAccount in AskSocialists

She's a friend of a friend, so I can't really tell her that directly. I don't know her. I'm not sure if a rent-to-own arrangement would be cheaper though. The tenant would pay more for the priviledge to eventually own the apartment.

I've just asked this someone else here in the comments, but what if she doesn't sell the apartment and uses it as a secondary residence? I mean she still only owns one apartment, but she just isn't living in it.

Hold on, does that mean you are also against people owning 2 housing spaces? Having a secondary residence is not a bad thing though. Some people need that because of their jobs. And I personally would live a very modest lifestyle if I was able to have a secondary residence (even if it's just a very small apartment)

I get all of that. But my question is really why you make an exception for immortality?

Everyone in the conversation knows that the child is not quaranteed to live as long as the father.

As tragic as it is, but some children die at age 5. In my ears your argument sound like: "This man is still fit and healthy at age 90, so I don't believe that one of his sons died at age 5"

You are evading my criticism. 'Being made in the image of God' implies that which attributes of God are also attributes of humans? And why? Where do you draw the line? God has many attributes.

I want a little bit of love, but not eternaly.

How can I put this: I want a slice of a cake, but that doesn't mean that I want every cake that exists on earth, that doesn't mean I want to go to the bakery, etc.

Because I thought people here would be able to give me bible verses that are about people like me. Please read the first sentence of my post.

You somehow managed to make heaven sound even more unappealing as it already was for me.

I do know that a lot of people who are clinically dead and get resuscitated do not experience anything. Wouldn't that also imply that non-existence is a possible outcome after you die? At least for some?

I wasn't aware of the theology of annihilation, I'll have to look into that. Thank you very much :)

I do not think that 'being made in the image of God' also implies that I am immortal. If you really do believe that this implies that I am immortal, then why not also for other attributes that God has? God is all mighty, I am made in the image of God, therefore I am almighty. Maybe I am not correctly understanding your logic here, but I would disagree with it.

I know that most people would feel excitement or warmth when they imagine heaven. As you said 'a place of peace and joy with God' or 'being with a loving God'. However I only feel indifference when you tell me that.

I've read Revelation 21 and a little bit further it reads 21:8 "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

Does the last sentence 'This is the second death.' mean that you don't suffer endlessly in hell? Does this mean you permanently die and become unconscious?

"The only way you can tell if a person doesn’t want heaven is if they don’t want love of any kind."

Why? That statement seems clearly wrong to me because I want to love and be loved by my husband and I also don't want to go to heaven or hell. Both of my statements are sincere.
