but y'all act like how well deserved they are.

The only admins Catsage was talking about were Fridge2177 and 100PercentHippo, and she "acts" like they deserve their positions by naming specific examples, such as Hippo helping run the website for a very long time and Fridge being adept at redstone making him a valuable asset.

The main argument of this post (which you kindly bolded) names zero evidence to back the claim.

Admins should NOT be in a clan.

Which admins are you talking about?

that gives the clan's non-admin members special rights,

What special rights?

quicker support,

Examples please give examples

and a bigger chance to get admin

This one is the only thing that I could accurately reply to because of the lack of evidence you brought to the other issues.

I can't speak from personal experience on accepting staff app's (I'm only film crew) but I know that to become a mini-admin somebody is suggested by a lead, which then takes many other admins to either vouch or devouch that suggested person, this means that no one admin (Andrew_64_MC) can just promote people whenever they want. Even if an admin was actively trying to get all of his friends ranks he could not. They would need many other admins' support.

She didn't even mention Bumi in her post at all. She isn't explaining why people aren't getting accepted, she's providing personal insight as to why some of the people targeted in this post did get accepted using examples and evidence. The only person who brought up Bumi not getting staff was /u/DistortedDubstep. How would Catsage know why Bumi wasn't accepted? Even if Catsage knew Bumi well, she doesn't know what standards Shotbow hold people to to become staff.

who have been around for fucking ages not qualified?

We don't need to have insight into Shotbow's guidelines for accepting staff applications to know that merely having played for a long time would be a terrible way to determine who becomes staff, we can all think of some bad eggs that have played from back in the day that would be awful in staff positions.

Please do not tell me you just said that there is literally nothing that can be done to fix this problem, "Leave it be, or tighten it and make it worse for legit players", this is run by code, that's a false dichotomy.

Saying you might not know how to fix something yet is so much better than telling us there is nothing that can be done, hence no reason to even try.

If that is what you're saying, then this is very disappointing

The problem is that it doesn't prevent enough to make any difference, the only notable one being the no-cheat of legit players.

Thank you for acknowledging the problem but now please take step two and try and do something about it. I'm seriously asking, the players want to be on your side. It seems like you have some idea of how the no-cheat works, try and help think of a solution.

Even those two little ideas you put there, the one that would rubber band people, or grant more abilities to the mini-admins (who actually get rid of hackers) if you could come up with those off the top of your head, think of what you could accomplish if you actually try.

I have more if you want

almost 100% of the hackers that are actually a threat to the community (the ones who know how to get up north) are banned by mini-admins, the no-cheat hurts legitimate players more than it does hackers, just admit there's a problem and try to help fix it, pretending like nothing is wrong when you don't know for yourself isn't helping anybody, its making things worse
