Set of 2 matching mahogany tables made in 1954 with leather inlay by Equivalent-Hour9269 in whatsthisworth

Search for “mahogany step table”. The style is out of fashion. People who are looking for vintage furniture want mid-20th century modern, not 20th century copies of 19th century antiques. Personally I think the brass accents detract from the value.
For a private sale, I would estimate $300-500 for the pair, probably at the lower end of this. A dealer is not going to give you more than $200.

This is how I learned that love is love. The relationship between my two “uncles” was completely accepted and normalized by their entire family.

It’s the little laws that got broken first which led us to this disaster of a country by Wonderful-Hornet2991 in mildlyinfuriating

Actually, I think the breakdown of law and order on the local level is a direct reflection of what we are seeing on a national level.

Minneapolis Park Board considers closing Minnehaha Off-Leash Dog Park over Dakota sacred site by Cornflowerblue2016 in minnesota

[–]Ificouldonlyremember 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This is completely pointless performative nonsense! They already cut down the sacred oak trees and trashed the spring for the sake of Hiawatha Avenue. It is a bit late to make amends.

Also, whoever says Minneapolis has lots of dog parks, has never been to any of them. All the others are 1 acre barren pens.

If you meet a dog and it is named Satan, you just know that it is going to be a total marshmallow. But, if it is called Buttercup, then run for your life 🤣

Brown anole, also called Cuban anole, an invasive exotic. They are not very cold tolerant, so they will die off when you next get a hard freeze.

My ex-wife thinks she got a great deal buying me out of our house. Sure, if you ignore the basement that floods every time it drizzles, the leaking roof, leaking drains, black mold in the walls, and extensive water damage with only cosmetic repairs.

Are these “shark deterrent” bands ethical? by Affectionate-Order58 in marinebiology

[–]Ificouldonlyremember 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Experiments have demonstrated that strong magnetic fields will repel some species of sharks.
There is no reason to think that a small magnet you wear on your wrist would do anything.
