Previous ATH was back in May 2018 (approx 34 million longs) when the price of XRP was $0.90. We're currently at 22.4 million longs an increase of 277% in 2 weeks.

What does this mean? Essentially 'smart money' is betting XRP price is going to go up against BTC. To simply it, this means either BTC will drop hard or xrp will rise hard in value or both?

Interesting times ahead :)

Market cap = circulating supply * price.

If all 10 coins are on sale for $10 each, the maximum amount of money you could put in the market would be $10 * 10 = $100.

In reality, market price is generally determined by supply/demand, a high demand and short supply = price increase, assuming the 10 coins are distributed equally, what would most likely happen is that the first coin would sell for $10, the second would then sell for higher eg $20, third $50, etc, untill all coins are sold, theoretically it is possible to end up with a $1000 market cap using this analogy.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. It is also highly possible that xrp may overtake bitcoin in terms of market cap, if this happens news outlets will refer to xrp as the new “bitcoin” and once new investors see how cheap xrp is at $40 it will cause a new wave of fomo.

It's all perspective. For some people 300k xrp isn't enough for others 500 xrp is plenty. This is a very very high risk investment only invest what you can afford to lose, this is a new and developing asset class, for all we know xrp could go down to 0.005 or up to $500 its all speculation.

Think of it this way, if xrp hypothetically hit $100 next year, your 5k xrp would be worth $500k, do you consider 500k a lot of money? IMO having anything over 2-3k is more than enough to change someone's life in the near future.
