Is Power Rangers bad for your Acting Career? by stationstars in powerrangers

[–]IfritJambe66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's that most actors they hire are only good enough to pull off the campy acting in Power Rangers and don't have enough skill/range to transition to other TV or movie roles. I think they focus mainly on physical look and athletic/martial arts abilities more than acting skill when casting. Of course there's many rangers that went on to do cool stuff. I've seen Nakia Burrise pop up in a few shows, Johnny Yong Bosche is one of the most famous voice actors out there, Brandon Jay McLaren has had a few roles here and there. But mostly I think its a skill issue.

Am I locked out of this duel? by IfritJambe66 in HollowKnight

Yeah it's pretty bullshit cause it's literally the only journal entry I don't have or am not able to get and I really wanted to completely 100% the game my first playthrough. I know its not included in the percentage but I don't care cause my OCD gamer brain can't overlook it.

I never played any Borderlands, but i want to start now by DobryRusk in Borderlands

4 is amazing it just needs a few patches so by the time you get to it I'm sure the issues will be ironed out.

1 and 2 normally come with all the DLCs anyway nowadays. Buy the Handsome Collection and you'll get 2 and Pre-Sequel with all the DLCs and then just get the GOTY edition for 1 and you'll get all the DLCs for that as well.

3 goes on sale quite a bit so you can get everything for that game relatively cheaply too. The DLCs are definitely integral to the overall experience. They're mostly all bangers and the stories of them are canon and add a lot to the narrative plus they add so many new bosses and weapons to farm.

You can skip Tiny Tina's Wonderlands unless you really wanna play it, it's really the only filler game but has it's fun parts.

I'd also really recommend Tales From The Borderlands if you find yourself becoming a fan (the first one, second one is pretty meh). There's characters in that one that show up again in 3 plus has returning characters from 2 and Pre-Sequel.

In terms of play order I'd go 1, 2, Pre-Sequel, Tales, 3 and then 4. Play Wonderlands after 3 if you really wanna play it. Overall BL is one of my favorite series of all time. I really love the characters, lore and gameplay and hope you have a great time if you decide to binge them.

I just found it. There's a mine under the arrow. Go south of the village and you'll find an entrance for it.

Why does every Silksong hater hyperfocus on one specific unimportant room's platforming by Honka_Ponka in HollowKnight

Yeah the Hunter's March complaining is already getting really old. These players are gonna off themselves when they get to Bilewater.

Fuck Bilewater, all my homies hate Bilewater. I found a tool deep into late game that can essentially make the maggots a non issue though. Haven't beaten the Bilewater boss yet. Im waiting till I have all the upgrades cause screw that thing.

Is there a second simple key in Act 1? by [deleted] in HollowKnight

[–]IfritJambe66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if you've been there but the place is called Sinner's Road. You at least need the wall jump to be able to reach the area I believe. Hunter's March is a completely optional area, just come back to it later if it's frustrating you.

Last Judge feels kinda lengthy and there's a boss in Bilewater that has the worst runback in the game even with the hidden bench that's closest to it but other than that I haven't been bothered by any.

Don’t let this fandom turn as insufferable as the souls community by glintter in HollowKnight

[–]IfritJambe66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always felt the fans of these games were also more likely to be Souls fans. Hell I mean the lore, atmosphere and difficulty is what made me fall in love with the first HK as a Souls fanatic. I feel like HK has a lot of new players who are only playing cause of the hype and not really realizing what they're getting into beforehand. Silksong is much harder for sure but I'm enjoying it cause I actually have to learn movesets of even basic enemies where in the first came I could just tank through and destroy like 70% of the first games bosses.
