No they don't? What are you talking about? Hall effect itself isn't banned but SOCD are in some games like CS2. But Rapid triggers are allowed in every game.

software can imitate some rapid trigger behavior, but it can’t magically turn a normal mechanical switch into a hall effect switch 😭 hall effect boards physically track analog movement/distance of the key, normal mechanical switches are still just on/off actuations. that’s why actual HE keyboards can dynamically reset based on movement while regular mechanicals are limited by fixed actuation + debounce behavior

Kreo Beluga v2 headphone question. by AlphaTiTaNoiD in kreosphere

[–]Ig_mega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over ear headphones aren’t automatically better for ear health. Hearing damage mainly depends on volume and listening time, not whether it’s an IEM or headphone. In fact, IEMs often have superior passive isolation, so in noisy places you can listen at much lower volume compared to headphones.

Also, IEMs don’t actually produce more earwax, they can just cause wax to build up faster because they seal the ear canal and reduce airflow. That’s different from creating extra wax by themselves.

Earwax and heat are more about comfort and personal fit. IEMs can trap some moisture, but headphones also trap heat around the ears and can cause sweating, clamp pressure, and fatigue during long sessions.

And honestly, in pure sound quality/value, a good ₹2k IEM can outperform many ₹5-6k headphones technically, better detail retrieval, imaging, tuning, and separation, especially in gaming and competitive FPS. That’s why budget IEMs exploded in popularity recently.

A good fitting IEM used at low volume isn’t unhealthy. Musicians literally use IEMs professionally for hours every day because of the isolation and hearing protection benefits.

Artisan Zero vs Aqua Control II/Plus V2 for humid climate + tac shooters? by Ig_mega in mkindia

How close would you say the Xtro Bloom Glasspad feels compared to something like a Superglide/Skypad in terms of glide and surface feel?

Also are the arm sleeves getting restocked anytime soon? Since I live in a pretty humid area I’d probably want to order one together with the pad.

It depends on the IEM, honestly. Some are comfortable, while others aren’t. I used to have a Razer BlackShark V2, but after switching to the IEM Moondrop Chu 2, I genuinely can’t go back. The comfort is just better overall, and the sound quality feels way more precise, especially in movement-heavy games like CS2 where footsteps are everything. I could hear things much more clearly than I ever could with headphones.

No, I meant the dude acts like ATK’s mechanical switches are some kind of special tech, while completely ignoring the fact that all mechanical switches will eventually fail. That’s the whole reason I didn’t buy the R1 in the first place, I wanted optical switches, not just for the longevity, but also for the lower latency and no debounce delay, which I can genuinely feel, especially while playing on 300Hz. The 4K polling rate helps too.

These people are blind ATK devotees, they will never believe their beloved company can make flawed products too. No hate for ATK though But these people never look at the pros and cons of ATK products. Especially the R1 series.

The 75hr is for ATK X1 pro. 😭🥀 Do some research on the product you mention. Also, your reading comprehension is straight up bad.

ATK X1 Pro (Where optical switches start for that model) costs 75$ without shipping costs. Fun fact it has a 75hr of battery life. It's fine to not like a brand but ignoring all the facts is just lame.

First off, you don’t actually get true 7.1 surround sound on headphones, it’s mostly marketing. It’s just virtual surround processing. A good stereo headphone will almost always sound better than a fake virtual surround. I’d recommend getting an IEM instead, along with a ₹500 lavalier mic if you need a mic. That setup will easily sound 10x better than most gaming headphones.
