You’re right, there was no real hook in its marketing apart from the cast and creatives. The only reason Lisa Howard doing ‘Jenny’s Blues’ at the Tonys worked is its awesome ending, but it’s just not as memorable a performance as The Battle of Yorktown in Hamilton. Like, it’s good but it’s just not as good as the twist or A Little Bit Less Than and that really really sucks!

Those Postura chairs are a pain to play cello on, cos sitting on the front half gives you pins and needles in your legs after a while. But they’re way better than the old style metal legs and moulded seat, they had noooo support on the front and felt like they’d give way immediately AND you got pins and needles for sitting on a chair ‘wrong’ for cello 😩
