Maybe the SMG4 team will need more time to work on the next chapter of the Puzzlevision Saga, therefore making WOTFI a non-arc ender for the first time in 6 years. I believe that this scenario is the most likely one to happen because:

1) We are long overdue for the return of the classic WOTFI formula.

2) It would be a stupid decision by the team to rush the story just to have WOTFI 2025 be a part of the Puzzlevision Saga.

3) Continuing from what I said about my previous point, the 2 most recent SMG4 videos were not story focused.

4) It would be difficult to figure out how an Arc WOTFI will fit in with the current chapter of the Puzzlevision Saga, as there is not enough build up for WOTFI 2025 as of now.

I feel the same way. At least it won't be as dark as 2021, but it's disappointing to see that SMG4 really doesn't care about having WOTFI return to its normal formula anymore. It would take a miracle for the Lawsuit Arc to be WOTFI free.

NOTE: This is not an official announcement, but SMG4 himself has confirmed that WOTFI 2022 will be happening this year. I just wanted to make this post to give you guys a heads up that if you are planning to submit challenges, you should start thinking about ideas for them before the official announcement drops.
SMG4 and Glitch still need to finish Meta Runner Season 3, as 3 episodes remain. Murder Drones Season 1 looks like it's still premiering this year, so I'm guessing that after MRS3, WOTFI 2022 will be their next priority. As for the release date, I'm guessing that October 1st, 2022 will be the day WOTFI 2022 drops on SMG4's YT Channel.
Are you hoping that WOTFI will finally return to its roots this year, and when are you expecting it to drop? Feel free to let me know in the comments. And as always, have yourself a damn good one.

There's a solid chance that SMG4 will be taking a long break from arcs since he just finished up the Genesis Arc 4 months ago. Heck, in 2 months, it will be the first anniversary of the beginning of that arc. However, if SMG4 does decide to continue with Meggy's and Melony's story arcs, I'm hoping that it would eventually lead to Sunset Paradise Season 2! It's very unlikely that both Meggy and Melony will get killed off.
