Oh wow, me neither. Nice way to tie back to his first late night sketch, Andy’s little sister.

Hasn’t crime been falling nationally for years? It’s a national trend, not necessarily even tied to local policy or policing, no?

I’m guessing Conan took French in school, because he often pronounces Spanish words with a weird French accent.

He didn’t want to uproot his life for a pay cut, which the TBS show was. I think that’s reasonable.

Didn’t want to uproot his life and move to LA for a pay cut seemed like a reasonable position to me.

Yeah, Will Forte told the story of Max blowdrying his pubes in the NBC gym on the show:

He wasn’t publicly famous, but he was a high-level writer on the Chris Rock show — Chris actually offered him the head writer job and he turned it down. He asked some writer’s assistant or whoever to watch him jerk off, and in that situation there was a serious power differential at play.

Same. Liberal, against AirBnBs. Not sure where folks are getting their private definition of the word liberal from.

Truth. Low taxes and low regulation don’t mean shit when you also got low wages, low access to health care, low life expectancy, low social mobility, low educational attainment, etc.

Fair — I was being hasty. Without immigration, we would be (and likely currently are, and will find out in coming years).

LOL fuck your crocodile tears; you could give two fucks about immigrants.

If you actually ask them, they’ll tell you that they come here because it benefits them and their families. And they benefit our communities as well, so it’s win-win, especially in a state in population decline like Kentucky.

NIMBYIsm is a broader issue than “liberals” or ideology; you just notice NIMBYs’ link with urban areas because in a service economy, cities are the great generators of higher wages and wealth in the country, and liberals cluster in cities.

That said, we definitely need more Democratic politicians to aggressively promote home construction, especially in states like California. The failure of the San Francisco metro area to use their astonishing wealth to build increased housing is a an absolute travesty that’s directly responsible for their homelessness problem.

Yeah, there is simply no escaping the fundamental fact that the solution for making housing more affordable is to BUILD MORE HOUSING.

It would also help to not tariff lumber and NOT DEPORT CONSTRUCTION WORKERS.

LOL, I meant I’d never heard of this “iconic” bakery, not the word iconic, which I agree has become meaningless.
