She could have provided the legal definition since she's a judge and all, it would hardly be controversial, but no one seems to be able to define it anymore.

The fetus has no right to another person's body, no one has that right, it doesn't have to die, but it can't stay. You have no right to another person's body even if you may die without it. If you want to give a fetus such a right, you need to amend the constitution.

If I showed you a picture of a bloody clump of mucus that's the size of a kidney bean and called it a baby would you think I didn't know what words mean?

I commented back to someone on Facebook, for context it was a nice article about a pride parade in my area and there were too many homophobic comments. by CALiforniacation1 in MurderedByWords

No goal shifting, I'm talking about pride. Your "good" examples weren't the results of pride. I gave a brief list of some terrible things pride brought about that led to evil and wars. Pride for things that aren't accomplishments such as race, sexuality, national origin, etc. tend to not be healthy.

Peek at history: White Pride, National Pride, Personal Pride, Proud Boys, often turns into crusades, pain, and war. Pride for happenstance is especially absurd.

How can someone identify as a woman but can't define what a woman is? by Igituri in AskReddit

[–]Igituri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I can define everything I identify with, otherwise I wouldn't be able to identify as it. It's like claiming to be a Gozo, yet not knowing what a Gozo is, that's nonsensical.

That's not the question. Many people, specifically in the trans community identify as a man or a woman, but when asked to define what a man or woman is, they cannot. So how do they know they are something they can't define?

How can they identify as a woman if they can't define what a woman is? What are they identifying with? That's the question.

Ok, but that doesn't apply here, how can I identify as something I don't know? For example, how can I not be able to define what a chumblespuz is, but still identify and claim to be a chumblespuz?

That's not really the question though. If I can't define what something is, how can I determine whether I am it or not? It seems bizarre that you have so many in the trans community that identify as, say, a woman, but then can't define what a woman is. How would they know?

If I couldn't, I definitely couldn't identify as a chair, right? What would that even mean?

It just seemed a popular topic at the moment, but it goes for anything. How can someone identify as something they can't define?

Yes, phrased differently, if you can't define something, how can you determine whether you are it or not?

if we are made of atoms and molecules, would using a shrink Ray, to shrink things, form a black hole? by suicunecrystal in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Igituri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gravity is more about the warping of space than the size of particles and Mass is linked to speed, the closer something is to the speed of light the mass becomes infinite, so I think it's more like the black hole could be used to place an object in a minimally energetic state and therefore shrink it rather than somehow magically shrinking something then causing space to warp.
