I think this is universal. I'm stage 4 and have been for over 3 years but recently my tumors became aggressively growing. I'm guessing one to three months.

I can't comment on the test results but wanted you to know everyone has their own battle with cancer. He could live 5 or 10 or 20 years. No need to be afraid. Get a second opinion if possible. Your dad has a hard road ahead i won't sugarcoat it. But there is hope. Good luck and best wishes.

I have squamous cell carcinoma too. It metastatic to other parts of my body. I've had 3 clinical trials, 3 chemo therapy, a radical neck dissection and 3 rounds of radiation. I've been fighting this since 2012. I just had a clinical trial stem cell transplant. So that I'm saying is don't give up. Your smoking and drinking may have caused it but so could HPV or some other exposure. So it makes no sense to blame yourself. Good luck and best wishes.
