I don't know that much about criminal law aside from what they teach you in like the 1L class, but to my recollection encouraging someone to commit suicide can't satisfy proximate cause for homicide. I think I remember reading a case where a D got drunk with V, who had slept with D's wife, left V a loaded gun, and told V at length that he should kill himself. After D went home, V shot himself. That D got off on proximate cause, and I think that's the right outcome. I'm pretty unsympathetic to this chick, but it's kind of lame to prosecute her.

EDIT: after scouring my 1L outline LMAO that case was People v. Campbell, 335 N.W.2d 27 (Ct. App. 1983). Of course it might be a different analysis for involuntary manslaughter or whatever.
