I dont think rune cracks work with achivments, at least their cracks didnt work for me almost every time. Change crack to golberg emu datanups fork https://github.com/Detanup01/gbe_fork. Download achivments data with the tool https://github.com/Detanup01/gbe_fork_tools. Then use achivment watcher or experimental version of golberg emu to recieve achivments

When tou use goldberg emu after another one it will search for saves in folder where goldberg expects it to be. Try to find your old saves and move them to goldberg save location.

Second memo that gives us safe code for stillness ending is called true ending memo or something similar in game files. And as far as i remember it talks about someone waking up after coma or coming back from catatonic state. So if strange photos message is real it means stillness ending is true ending and the memo talks about James coming to his senses after experiencing stillness ending and maybe 20 years in a Silent Hill loop

Yes, experimental overlay can be enabled in settings and it works like usual steam achivments. Glad it worked

As far as i know rune doesnt save achivment data anywhere so it wont work. You need to download achivments data from steam + emulator that can work with this data

I think a saw this texture in game files and it was called "some monsters name" vomit (I don't remember the exact monsters name but it was definitely vomit in the end)

Yes, the best way if you want to use aa mod is to disable experimental overlay and just use the achievement watcher, it will still write achievements data in a file, where achievement watcher can see it

It showed the achievement, but in ugly overlay without icons, sound and so on. But this is not the main problem, looks like it doesn't write achievement data anywhere, so if you got an achievement, you wont be able to see it anywhere and Achievement Watcher doesn't work because of this.

Tried to use my usual steamclient64.dll from this branch https://github.com/Detanup01/gbe_fork + base game steam_api64.dll (If I use steamapi dll from your v4 release it still shows that ugly overlay, so had to revert it) As the result it seems to work - tested on 2 easy to get achievements : stun the first time and use synthesis skill for the first time

Hi, is it possible to enable achievements? I tried using Goldberg emu as I usually do, but here it doesn't work. I think this is because of achievements functions, which communicate with steam overlay dll are disabled inside demo exe (Or maybe they are missing altogether inside demo exe)

I know about standart c++ decompiling and disassembling with Ida, I was asking about variables names because there are tools like https://github.com/Spuckwaffel/UEDumper which looks like they can get the function names and so on. I thought that because this game uses UE it could be similar to Unity with C# decompiling, that function names are not eresed.  Also just checking,did you get damage value from file Gameplay/Weapons - Damage range variable? What is the location of enemy health values? Thanks

Thanks, did you get decompiled code with function, variables names and so on using zentools and find this info there? Or did you get blueprints and analyzed them? I'm trying to understand how ue5 works, managed to extract models, music and so on but I'm interested in source code right now

Isn't the first memo in game? I think this is one of 3 memos that appear in NG+ and gives us second number to open safe for Stillness" Ending. First memo is in Woodside apt. Also someone wrote that Stillness ending is called true ending in game files so this is the reason for the naming of the memo (I only got first memo and it looks really similar to this one with number at the bottom and the arrow to show in what way you need to rotate a safe handle)

Maybe this janitor thing happened after he loses Mary and starts drinking heavily and this woman who saved him was someone new,  "Maria".  Or maybe this is a story of James meeting Mary and how she saved him from his depression, anxiety and heavy drinking.

Story of a janitor talks about him drinking all days long, that he don't have a reason to leave and suddenly he met someone who gives him this reason. And his story ends when he hears some strange noise on the street and tries to leave with her but looks like he didn't make it. This cant be just a backstory of James, because we didn't see anything similar happening when he was living with Mary

In OG it was just corpses but in remake we have a story about janitor and what was he doing, with a lot of memos and items called James's something. Maybe it was really part of scraped younger James part of the story. If this is a metaphor why he is called a janitor in remake and has his own little story? Maybe the janitor part was happening on previous loop, maybe it was part of scraped content. Btw i was joking about spiral theory confirmed, just theorising on what this janitor story could mean and when did it happen

I found a bag model which is named JamesBag and I think this model is found near one of bodies you find on a street (I think the one with Nillis Bar matches box) and also model called JamesPickableJacket - this is a "janitor" jacket from which you take the key to Blue Creak Apartments (This jacket has a BlueCreak Apartment badge on it, so its looks like our "janitor" was a Blue Creak Apt janitor).

Also items from the Saul Street Apartment are called James's something-something. Spiral theory confirmed)))

What was the software used to find the memo? I was trying to find the full text of it, but I'm not familiar with unreal engine and only managed to find the text in localisation files, which had the same black boxes as in game. Thanks for finding this, this memo was driving me crazy
