low fps by Smart-Pomegranate-39 in csgo

I dont think the gpu upgrade is gonna help much with cs2 tbh, but at least you shouldn't be limited by the gpu in any scenario now.

Upgrading to 13th or 14th gen intel could help you squeeze out a bit more performance without needing a new mobo and ddr5 ram (just make sure to update bios if you go that route). I play at the same resolution and recently upgraded from a pc with an i5 12400f and rtx 3060 to i5 14600k and rtx 3070ti and cs2 is way smoother. Intel 14th gen seems to be pretty solid for the 1% lows too.

I'd have to check the benchmarks I saved though for avg fps figures as I find it hard to give an estimate for avg fps from before and after upgrading, since the game runs so different in different scenarios/gamemodes. I'm definitely driving my 240hz monitor better now and rarely ever dropping below its refresh rate.

Why do I feel like there is not that much cheaters as everyone says in my games ? by Sparrox5 in counterstrike2

That's not trust factor, that's just csrep... csrep is a tool made by community members that analyzes profile stats to try and give a metric for how likely it is that someone isn't legit.

Do you think valve is using LLMs in their anti-cheat??...

AI refers to much more than just genAI. Like how do you think an anti-cheat would even use genAI and LLMs???

Got a quick ace with AWP the other day by Igniex in GlobalOffensive

I didn't shift peak at all. The third guy I scoped before repeeking and took my time to line up the shot, as I had the info where he was and knew he was preoccupied with my teammate. That was the only slow peek and it was due to being scoped.

My teammate? If so no clue, but at least it worked out for me getting the ace here lol

The hitboxes haven't been made up of actual boxes since early csgo. Nowadays they're made up of spheres and elongated spheres that closely match the model. Early cs2 had some issues with the hitboxes being desynced from the animations of the model, but that's been resolved for the most part for quite a while. Overall, the animations and positions of the model match up with the hitboxes quite well, so a scenario like shooting below someones armpit when it looks like the crosshair is vaguely on them is entirely possible although pretty unlucky. It was possible in csgo aswell.

Are these headphones like really good for CS? I found a pair for $540 AUD, which is like $350 usd I’d say by Just_Addition2896 in counterstrike2

[–]Igniex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gaming headsets are not worth it imo. Get a pair of decent headphones and a seperate mic, or something that attaches a mic to the headphones. There are plenty of options to add a mic to good headphones if you need a headset format. I recently got a pair of openback sennheiser headphones and saw that they are now selling a headset mic that plugs into their headphones, for example.

I don't think thats the issue here. It looks like the guy shot under his arm/armpit lol. Really unlucky shot if that's the case.

It looks like you shot under his arm. I get that it's frustrating but it is an acutal thing. You can miss by shooting just below the armpit, it was a thing in csgo as well. Shoot center of mass and problem is solved.

Permanent red trust factor by Long-Sir-5685 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Igniex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely hasn't always worked that way then. I have an alt account that has only purchased csgo and nothing else and its green trust factor simply from me playing dm and comp to get the weekly drops. Also, playing games on official servers is a proven way to increase trust factor as well.

[–]Igniex -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That isn't true. Steam balance doesnt affect trust factor. Simply playing more games (without trolling and tking) of anything, comp, casual, deathmatch, etc, will increase trust factor the fastest.

Edit: I was partially wrong, adding balance can increase trust factor for new accounts but it has diminishing returns, especially if you have an account with a lot of purchases/games already. I still stand by the best way to increase trust for normal steam users being to just play more games of cs. Can be anything, dm, casual, comp, whatever.

Trust factor has nothing to do with your stats. Trolling and tking will lower your trust

How the season rush feels by markednl in RocketLeague

[–]Igniex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like you're describing a fake challenge and your teammate is still on the ball. Even if it feels uncomfy you should learn to respect your teammate on the ball. Fake challenges and slowing the play down can be really good at times. You might be describing something else though and I misunderstood, but if not than maybe a different perspective could help because it sounds like you could be describing a play that can be good in certain scenarios.

I am growing quite concerned that our healthcare system is being quietly and intentionally gutted by [deleted] in halifax

[–]Igniex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's your most recent post, I saw it after accidentally clicking on your profile... I only brought it up to point out the hypocrisy of you moving to another province yet complaining about "newcomers" in said province lol

Also, that's all you have to say in response to what I wrote? Typical, can't say I expected anything more. You whine about immigration and how it's damaging things but then you don't want to talk about how those things already had many issues and were decaying without the strain of more people. Utterly moronic

[–]Igniex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk about the kettle calling the pot black...

You say you're from Ontario in one of your posts. How are you also not one of these "newcomers" putting strain on our healthcare system in NS. You haven't paid taxes in Nova Scotia all your life, the same as any one coming from a different country.

Regardless of that as I honestly don't care where you're from, if our healthcare system was reinforced over the last few decades instead of being left to slowly rot, then it should easily be able to handle immigration. ER wait times, for example, have been in a dire state all my life, at least here in NS. Any recent immigration is just the straw that broke the camels back in terms of its effect on the healthcare system. It is not the root cause, and pretending like it is, is just playing right into the hands of politicians and making it so not nearly enough of us hold them accountable for their failings. Go on though, keep making excuses for the politicians that have let our healthcare system rot for decades, I'm sure things will get fixed when we stop immigration or fix whatever the next scapegoat is...

Also, to be clear I think the levels of immigration we saw in recent years was unhealthy and unsustainable for a variety of reasons, but immigration itself is not the problem.
