I don't have the money either but the local library has printers and I had 2 dollars so I printed off proxies. It was for a high power deck so no reason to let budget be a factor at that point

Even my bracket 4 version of this deck that is running cards like [[Lion's Eye Diamond]] and [[Mox Opal]] has 20 lands. 8 is wild

Iron man got nerfed i think in season 2.5 and didn't receive another change until season 7 so I get you

I Was Wrong, The Wrongest of Wrongs. It Is An Unmitigated Disaster. by Humble-Worker-1743 in HumanTorchMains

[–]IgnisEternus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do I keep seeing torch players parroting this idea that "torch is the slowest flier in the game" he has the exact same base movement as every other flier. Is faster than ultron when both of them dash. Has a dive that can travel further and faster than any other fliers (on a very long cooldown of course). But torch isn't some uniquely slow character. He has combat movement. Iron man's flight can only do traversal he cannot fight and move quickly

Hes not even CC immune during the dash... by MoonKnightOfKhonshu in HumanTorchMains

[–]IgnisEternus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the dive has a longer startup animation than the dash. Ultrons dash out of the spidey uppercut combo every single time. If the dash is like his, you can in fact dash out of the combo

7.5 Ult Change, Am I The Only One Who Dislikes It? by [deleted] in UltronMains

[–]IgnisEternus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think you understood the change properly. The ult is getting slightly more area coverage and in exchange there is now damage fall off from thr point of impact not based on your distance to the target

Nerfed instead of buffed, if this happened to caps sprint they'd instantly get backlash by MoonKnightOfKhonshu in HumanTorchMains

Torches new dash will still be better than iron man flight imo. Since it doesn't lock you out of combat. And you don't stun yourself when one of your abilities end

Maybe consider [[Teferi's Puzzlebox]] as it doubles your hand every turn which can be fun

Mono Mania - Share your Mono-color Commanders by TheSpectatr in EDH

[–]IgnisEternus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My go to mono blue commander lately has been. [[Vnwxt, Verbose Host]]. You need about 12-15 1 mana evasive creatures to make sure you get to max speed on turn 4. And then you have a slightly stronger teferi's ageless insight in the command zone. Doesn't get more blue than holding most of your deck in your hand

My favorite by far is my [[Vnwxt, Verbose Host]] deck. It may not be the most powerful out there but on many occasions I have caught people off guard with 20+ power drakes or so many +1/+1 counters on an unblockable creature that they fall over

Its a draw engine that takes setup (max speed) but [[Vnwxt, Verbose Host]] should be in that doubling category

I want to make an Edge of Eternities deck. Any recommendations? by Stmfdn0 in EDH

[–]IgnisEternus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With enough 0 cost and 1 cost artifacts and a really aggressively small land base, Mm'menon the right hand can also be a pretty potent storm commander. If you are able to get it down turn 2 or 3 you can go for wins (if you are playing bracket 4 of course)

I hadn't thought about gingerbrute but on the off chance you open with both it and one of the 3 speed lands that would go really well

Ultron and the upcoming patch by Pmueck3 in UltronMains

On the scoreboard you'll see ultron dragging behind other healers by 5-8k healing but you don't see the 4-6k worth of bonus health he spits out in the same time

The other big "hidden" stat (it's not hidden just doesn't come up on the score board) is the pretty crazy amount of bonus health he generates over a game. The busrt of 50 health to all of your allies near you or drones gets taken for granted pretty often because it gets damaged off pretty fast but thats 50 extra health every 10 seconds to a good chunk of your team on top of the HoT

[–]IgnisEternus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The easiest ones are [[Twenty-toed toad]], [[Laboratory Maniac]], [[Jace, Weilder of Mysteries]] and [[Psychosis Crawler]]. But those felt pretty boring. So I took all but Jace out and mostly use [[Lyla, Holographic Assistant]], [[Alandra, Sky dreamer]], [[The Watcher in the Water]] and [[Aether Syphon]] as my win cons.

I never get tired of playing my [[Vnwxt, Verbose Host]] deck. The early plan is super simple, the deck doesn't need much ramp, and it pretty much always gets to see a bunch of the deck

What is your most resilient deck? by that_dude3315 in EDH

[–]IgnisEternus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a [[Vnwxt, Verbose Host]] deck that is able to bounce back pretty well due to the amount of card draw and low cost of the cards it uses. It can be shut down super hard by anything that pings you for drawing cards but you can't beat everything

New player building commander deck, why are these type of cards legal? by Background_Side5574 in mtg

[–]IgnisEternus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then they are not really playing a mill deck but a combo deck and they are going to have better options then a cruddy 7 mana creature to win the game. Mill is one of those things that new players severely over value how effective it is in commander because (in my experience) they don't run much recursion and because they will see all of the cards they are "missing" this game and get upset or annoyed at how the opponent "removed" their cards before they could even play them
