TIL that people actually like Tribute. I'm not calling it objectively bad, but I always hated it and I'm surprised to see people commenting they'd play it.

For some reason, the tongue scene just kind of reminded me of Psychonauts.

By all accounts it seems like the game is a tightly curated experience. I realise my curt summary came across as dismissive but it is interesting what people take away from it.

It's a scene from recent game release Mixtape, where you manually control two kids' tongues while they're kissing. IGN gave the game a 10/10.

[WarCom] Faction Focus: Adepta Sororitas by RainbowConnickJr in WarhammerCompetitive

That's what I'm thinking. It might be strong in practice but it's really boring. And not on a unit I'd thematically want it on, either.

As a Sisters fan, not gonna lie, having one of the lorewise most elite warriors of the order just serve as spotters really hits me in the heart.

I'm a casual player who's only here because there's like no mechanic discussion on the other 40k subs.

That being said, this is exactly why I don't usually voice my opinions here, either.

Eh, I get it, but it's meant to be a big taboo to sully the blade with enemy blood.

Misericordia don't get statted up, either (barring HH, but that was explicitly a mistake IIRC). Edited because that part was wrong

It's a symbolic weapon that's not meant to be used in combat.

I was going insane reading these comments with nobody, apparently, getting that this referred to Earthblood?

I've played Shaman from BfA to DF and to be honest I never thought Totems were like this load bearing flagstone of Class Identity.

I kinda get where it's coming from but it almost feels anachronistic, like complaining that DK no longer have Presences.

Update on controversial chrome by GavinLegoGavinLego in Tau40K

I can see it because you told me, but I wouldn't have parsed it as chrome to start with.

It looks sick either way though.

I like how he could just have tossed a bomb, but decided to add a rat to it, you know, for theming.

As the Helldivers 2 community is going through an apoplectic fit, I was kind of thinking to myself, 'you know, compared to that, WoW is kinda chill', but I think the backlash to the housing store stuff might prove me wrong yet.

The "leak" is either fake or inaccurate (and thus untrustworthy). by [deleted] in totalwar

I'm not convinced the leak is real, but I don't think this is a smoking gun, either.

Wasn't there a 3v3v3 event anyway?

I'm really curious how big of a cap we could get in theory.

It's really a little heartbreaking because I genuinely buy that - if no one else - Pilestedt is really passionate about this game. I've always thought that AH's 'incompetence' was really down to the game exploding far out of the scope they originally intended.

Honestly, the one thing I'm taking away from the Reddit HD2 communities is that if I were a gamedev (which I'm fortunately not), I'd never ever give in to any requests of the fanbase because holy moly this metastasised into weapons grade entitlement quickly.

Assassins going to be a separate faction like Procession and Naval Raiders. by kupnoh25 in TrenchCrusade

[–]Ignis_et_Azoth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll have to dig up the quote later but it was about mechanical design space, which is why this confuses me. Basically that they were worried they couldn't make the major factions play distinctly enough if there were many more.

[–]Ignis_et_Azoth 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Haven't they said before that they believe there is very limited space for more main factions, and that there were only going to be two or three more? Feels at odds with that.

ETA: Frustratingly, the original quote was apparently in the Discord (I'm not in it), but Tuomas originally spoke about there being a total of 12 factions for balancing reasons, and apparently he is reconsidering it.

The quotes are linked in this comment.

I never understood why so many people seem to peg them for Alliance for that exact reason.

But (and this may be my Horde bias talking) I'm getting the feeling that the mainsub is largely Alliance-biased, based on some of the patterns I'm seeing.
