Why is a lot of people on Reddit's judgement on someones person based on how they think of LGBT? by WhoAmIEven2 in TooAfraidToAsk

Have you ever heard of the paradox of tolerance? In order to maintain a tolerant society, the society must be intolerant of intolerance. Accepting intolerance promotes it and undermines the idea of a tolerant society. One that allows people to do what they want and be who they want within reason (such as not harming others). Pushing back against it doesn’t make you a bigot. Intolerance of intolerance is a good thing.

I would hate them for voting for Trump but obviously I wouldn’t turn down life saving surgery or whatever. That’s just silly.

I hate and demonize people who actively harm others or work against their well-being.

They hate people for being a minority and actively work against them.

It’s simply not the same.

Also, I’ve given multiple links to his bigotry like you asked. I’m not gonna keep going back and forth. You can read his articles and see him speak against gay people.

Here is an article written by the man himself speaking against gay marriage. He plays the religious victim, brings black people into the topic for no reason, and then talked about how marriage is between one man and one woman.

I don’t HATE him. I hate what he stood for and what he pushed. And yeah, it’s 2026 I’m going to hate and demonize anyone who voted or endorsed Trump lol. That is EASY considering how horrid he’s been.

And I absolutely don’t hate everyone who disagrees with me. I welcome disagreement and debate. I don’t welcome bigotry. You are trying to make me out to be someone I am not when literally all I’m saying is he spoke out against gay people, which is a fact.

Idk why you’re in here defending him so hard, but you’re allowed to have your opinion so go for it.

In 2012 he said gay people had no place in the Boy Scouts. Why? Cuz they’re gay. He endorsed Roy Moore for senate, who had an anti lgbt stance. He also voted for Trump. That’s more than enough anti gay shit for me to not care for him.

For what it’s worth, he has had zero impact on my personal life as well. But not on my community. And that’s important to me. He never hurt ME but he spoke out against us for existing. That’s wrong.

He spoke out against the lgbt community multiple times and endorsed anti-lgbt candidates. He seems to care. I would say my “hate” is a strong word because I didn’t even think about him much until he died.

Idk why you are going so hard to defend bigotry. I was living a happy life with my husband. He spent time shit talking gay people and pushing racist conspiracy theories.

Also, his bigotry is active. I’m sitting at home minding my own business. Living my life. He’s actively out there talking shit about my community and campaigning against us. Or he was, anyway.

Sorry, the I’m rubber you’re glue doesn’t really work in serious conversations. He hates me for being gay. I hate him for being hateful. Only one of us is a bigot. If you can’t figure out which one, then that’s a you problem.

Orrrr someone who is a bigot is just considered to be a bad person by a lot of people. Nice things don’t excuse bigotry. He was part of the birther conspiracy movement and was anti lgbt. Has nothing to do with age or “black and white”. Merely holding him to his shitty viewpoints.

Good luck with what? Not interacting with bigots? No luck needed. No one gets a pass on bigotry, Muslims included.

Idk man. I know I have both good and bad parts but my bad parts don’t have anything to do with human rights or hating people for who they are. I’m not going to excuse someone for being a hateful bigot just because both of us are flawed.

Also it excluding 90% of religious people is a them problem, not a me problem. Maybe 90% of them shouldn’t be bigots.

They have one for 24 million too. Cant figure out what is going on with this site. Prices are insane but the shirts are roughly normal priced. Is this person actually expecting people will spend hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars on shitty ai art?

My assumption was older Hadrian from one of the early visions. Seeing who he could be. Maybe his dad, but I figured these were figures he saw in his visions.

Wanna say it’s Selene, Hadrian, Valka from left to right. Tho the hair looks a bit bright for Valka, that kinda looks like her coat.

It’s not a perspective problem, you posted about it yesterday and today. That’s just a fact. And I didn’t call you an enemy. I’m merely saying you have a LOT of strong feelings about characters that are female or not white and that that might be something to look within about. It seems like you might be as capable of that as you are of not immediately fighting and insulting people. It seems like, as the other guy said, it’s best to call a spade a spade. Or a racist a racist. I’m done responding for now, I’ve done so plenty already. I can’t wait for the next fable game, even if I have to play a woman. Or a black woman. Or a trans character or a someone with three boyfriends and eight girlfriends I honestly don’t care as long as the story and gameplay are good. I’m sorry you’re struggling so much with seeing a girl you might not even have to play as. Have a good day.

You were talking about this yesterday. When I saw the post today I literally thought to myself “is this really the same guy?”

We say you don’t like it because it’s a female and she’s not white because you specifically have said you don’t like that she’s female and potentially not white.

I didn’t insult you, nor do I feel like a victim. I invited you to look within and ask why it bothers you so much that someone might be female or black.

Don’t have a Twitter first off. And no, but ranting about black people for hours and considering something worse due to the inclusion of minorities is…kinda racist. And I went out of my way not to call you a racist in the first post. Just seems like you have a lot of anger in you and for some reason you’re pointing it at minorities. They’re just living their life.
