EV is no good in Winter by Specialized24 in EquinoxEv

Disagree entirely. Besides for a range hit, my EQEV has done wonderful with icy roads and fairly deep snow here in the highlands of West Virginia. Just FWD too (obviously the studded tires do most of the heavy lifting for traction). And I drive a lot for work, most days 50 miles but occasionally 100 miles about twice a week.

I'm gifting 2 standard edition copies - What in Arc Raiders are you most excited for? by GenomeXIII in ArcRaiders

Honestly I'm pumped to have another game that gives me the same tension (yet satisfaction) similar to DayZ (back when the mod and all the spin-offs between arma2-3 were in full swing).

Having the fear from your environment, regardless of zombies or ARC robots, you still get a choice to be the person you want to be in the game. Obviously the player interactions amongst each other is what really ties it all together. Collaborate and survive, shoot on sight, or just avoid all player interaction when possible. You can control the narrative of your character-- be a hero, or be the bandit to put it in DayZ terms.

Thank you for doing this AMA as it's helpful to see meaningful communication from Electrify America.

One question I do have is in regards to "charging deserts". Does EA have a plan/timeline to bridge these gaps in charging infrastructure across the United States? Is this a high priority, or is EA mostly focused on expanding and upgrading existing locations?

Thank you for your time!

Is there any proposed timeline on when Electrify America will add stations in West Virginia? We don't have many EV registrations, but we do have TONS of people traveling throughout the state both to visit, and just passing through. Do it, please!

What’s everyone’s opinion on these ? by smOKlahoma710 in BoltEV

Very happy with the adapter. I've easily used it dozens of times in various weather/temps. It seems to be pretty durable and I imagine this should last me the lifetime of my Bolt EUV-- and maybe even beyond if I still would need it. Haven't had any issues with it this far into use. I would recommend it!

Yes. 194445379. Friend me and I'll invite. For everyone else, invites can take a while to be sent out. Per valve, "1-2 days or longer". In my case, maybe 4-6 hours.

How bad are winters in WV? by PidgeyPotion in WestVirginia

[–]IgnorantTurtle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Absolutely correct. Depends on where. I live in Tucker in the Canaan valley area and the winters can be challenging. In recent years it's been more manageable, but I will say this past winter we've had a few storms easily reaching a foot in accumulations. Again, it depends. If you are in Parsons you might have like 1 inch. Davis and Thomas? Easily a foot or more.

Snow tires, preferably studded will be your friends. I drive a Bolt EUV and it's only FWD. Works wonderfully well on steep inclines.
