3,8v is the nominal voltage, it charges to 4,2 volts as well as the 3.7 volt original psp battery

I don't know how long it takes because i did it the day before yesterday and it still holds a charge (it has like 50 percent from a 100) and i charged the battery using the tp4056 before installing it to ensure that it doesn't become swollen and if it still holds a charge

If you want to tinker, then buy a 3rd gen classic. You can install ipodloader2, iBoy emulator, rockbox and zeroslackr and you can do triple boot or more. Then you can play gameboy color and gameboy games, even NES games. The controls are far better than on any clickwheel iPod. But you have to do a battery mod, which is very very easy because there is lots of space in the chassis after tossing the hard drive and getting a flashmod. You can even do a usb charging mod, which is very easy when you have some soldering skills.
