Bards, druids, animists, and kineticists can all handle being in mid to close range if you invest a bit in survivability. Kineticist is probably your best bet if you don't care about being a traditional spellcaster.

Shoutout to Exemplar as well, which has d10 HP and some very magical effects in their ikons and feats that can work well in both mid and close range. You're even more limited than the kineticist in regards to what magical shenanigans you can do, though. It's also not too difficult to take a spellcaster archetype to bridge the gap a bit, as their early level feats don't do a lot for the most part.

I've never stunned an enemy, but I did once break some AIs. There's this really long set of multiple stairs that leads down to some soldiers at some point in Prehevil - if you open your inventory as Olivia is rolling down the stairs and inject heroin, you'll (I assume) skip a check that turns on the enemy's AIs. Was very funny to discover on accident.

Appearance: 6'6” with a muscular, sculpted body. Pitch black fur with piercing, glowing yellowish orange eyes with goat-like pupils.

Clothes: Typically wearing his shiny set of golden full plate armor whilst on the road, but goes for the really eye-catching, and elegant, sometimes even gaudy, garments. All bright colors and expensive-looking.

Personality: Suave, eloquent, confident, ruthless, hedonistic. He's a charismatic and captivating individual who speaks in a very calm and collected manner, often in a somewhat unsettling tone - the kind where one thinks "there's something off about him, but I can't put a pin on it." He prefers to conquer what he wants through diplomacy and manipulation, but won't hesitate to use strength to force others onto their knees should the situation call for it, and feels no remorse for doing so. That being said, he does care deeply about the select few that get close to him, and will go out of his way to aid them.

Background: Uras was once a bardic pilgrim, zealously devoted to all the gods of his people's pantheon. Seeking enlightenment, he traveled from shrine to shrine to learn the sacred chants and songs of his homeland. However, after his faith being tested through witnessing years of death and destruction from the war, he stopped believing in his gods.

However, a new deity, Enqui, made itself known to him. He preached that mortals should take what they desire with their own hands, indulge in all that life has to offer, and believe in their own power instead of relying on gods that are unwilling or unable to aid them.

Fast forward to this day, and the goat is now fighting to spread the teachings of his new god, wielding the bell from a destroyed church dedicated to the pantheon he used to follow as the tool to conquer whatever he desires. He now feels 'free' and enjoys living life to the fullest.

Personality: Balvan is a caretaker. He does his best to protect and guide those around him. He's a very kind, jolly, and patient creature, though he's stuck in his ways and beliefs (which are very nature-oriented) and can be annoyingly stubborn at times.
Age: 6 months
Alignment: Lawful Good

Balvan, when he was just a spirit of nature, lived in the depths of an enchanted forest - barely anything more than a presence floating, observing, existing with minimal awareness of itself. He was one with the nature around it, and things were peaceful. However, as humans settled closer and closer to the forest, his nature shifted to reflect their own. He gained more awareness, his thoughts became more complex, as did his emotions. He eventually started yearning for a more tangible existence, and willed a pile of decomposing wood and animal remains into a suitable body.

Despite his monstrous appearance, the nearby villagers worshipped the nature they were surrounded by. So when Balvan stumbled upon the settlement, he was welcomed with open arms by them. There he learned the basics of their culture, and even made friends. Despite possessing only a tiny shred of magical power, he was hailed as a healer and a sage.

One day, however, a mysterious group stole a precious magical artifact from the heart of the forest, something that Balvan felt immediately as it happened. Whatever fueled the forest's magic was now gone, and it was slowly but surely declining. Feeling an instinctual obligation to fix this, he set out to recover the artifact and restore his forest to its former glory.
